Yeah, I always wondered how you're supposed to merge tiles in YY-CHR. I wanted to make some tools to assist in merging two GFX files and also in recoloring them, but I didn't have enough time to make them. Maybe I will see if I can make them a thing during this week, so lot of people can benefit from it. And of course, whatever else that it might be hard to people do, but I haven't thought in anything else other than tile merging and recoloring. (I'm open for suggestions!)

Upside down rails are also sooo 2016, all the cool kids are using right side up rails now.

I have this weird feeling that the winner of vldcx won't use tile 1f0 at all. Or maybe they'll only use tile 1f0, no other map16 tiles. Or, maybe someone will forget to test their level again and we'll have another fun tile to mess with...

I haven't done merging in any of my VLDC levels, but on my hack(s) I did it by just drawing the simpler tile over the other tile. I guess you could also use photoshop or something but at the time I didn't feel like fixing the palette when pasting merged tile from image editor to yy-chr.
Can we use Kipernal's echo sound fix uberASM, since echo was used in the original game? I wanna use it. Pleeease?

i dont want a vldcx site scheme contest but can you just darken the post background so it's not so distracting? the background's nice and all but when im trying to read it's just a nuisance. same problem at C3.
can we just keep post legibility a priority? I thought the whole point of this year was prioritizing design over aesthetics =.=

If I wanted to change the palette of the ground - which I do - can I do that to the tiles already present in Map16 or do I have to copy them to page 3 and do it there? For the purposes of the contest, that is.

Copy them to page 3 - pages 0 and 1 are global pages for the compilation.
EDIT: are you sure just editing the level's palettes in #lm{pal} (with custom palette checked, of course) wouldn't do what you want?

Question, at one point is the music file too large to be included in the collab? I want to use a specific song, but it's rather large, and I don't really want my level's music replaced with a generic remix. Is this song too large? What about this?
