This hack.. Well, no offense, but it needs a lot of work. Here's what I have to really say about it.

After a Nintendo Presents screen with a new sound, there's a semi-edited title screen, as the "movie" is unchanged, but the title (and the blue on the pallet) is. Also, what's with the zero in 2017 being an O? The introduction isn't much to talk about either.
Yoshi's Island isn't even edited, besides the names.
The first level (Going Back) greets us with 8-bit SMB graphics, and some koopas immediately walking to Mario without any warning. Typically that's a pretty bad sign when the player barely has any time to react on what's going on when they just start the level. There's also a P-Switch... which you have to carry to the end of the level. Use it too early, and you'll have to restart the entire level. Pressing it causes some odd tile actions (seeing as the SMB blocks have no ex-animation for changing what they look like when a P-switch is pressed) as Mario passes through brick blocks and used blocks as if they were coins and stands on blue coins as if they were used blocks. There's also some cutoff with the lava and pipes, and strangely there's some springs on the bottom layer of the level right at this instance of the level, and nowhere else. Of course, if you didn't get the P-Switch, the game informs you about this, and you then press it and go through some used blocks as if they didn't exist.
Muncher Fields isn't much better. There's 8-bit SMB3 graphics now, although the most problematic bit of this level is that you die instantly if you don't have the yellow switch pressed. (For whatever reason, the light blue munchers act like lava.) Going in the pipe leads you to a very familiar bonus room, although I think you should stick with one type of coin there. The sprites are also 16-bit and pass throe light blue munchers like water, and shortly after that, the level becomes very unfun with precise jumping over the deadly light blue munchers and platforms that also hold munchers, leaving you with one tile gaps between each safe spot. There's also a launcher, which passes you through... That green structure, which you can probably skip by running and jumping over the gap. There's also the midpoint there (creating very noticeable and blatant cutoff), although it's placed right at the end of the level with another precise jumping segment, and some odd tiles that act like air.The ending of the level has a goal sphere.
And the final finished level, Forest Shenanigans... Simply put, this level is not fun, at all. It starts you off with a bunch of Charging Chucks heading right towards you, floating tree trunks, a ledge you can pass through on one side despite it being solid on the other, meaning you can also land in the lava, which the bottom part acts like water. The tree trunks also go in front of the lava, which if Mario was allowed to be there, would create some very... strange interaction as Mario passes through the tree trunks like air, despite lava being on the sides of it. There's also an Amazing Flying Hammer Brother that didn't spawn at first, and then did after coming back to the screen. And what's with the lava platforms? You can't even touch them under normal circumstances, so why are they there? In fact, why is the lava even there at all? Oh, and there's more Chucks before completing the level.
The final (and unfinished) level has some odd platform interactions, and I think you should have made it inaccessible if you ask me.

In short, as I've said this hack needs a lot of improvement, and I really think you should put some screenshots here. I don't think many people who see this topic are going to want to try this hack out if there's no screenshots for them to get interested with.
I have a DeviantArt, if you do want to see my art on there. I don't really visit it much now, though.
