Nice to see some more variety on the world themes! The desert map itself is pretty good too, and I like the other minor changes from the first version (e.g. the clouds on the top part). The new abstract map is a lot better as well, the previous one was a bit too generic and not very, uh, abstract. That ghost house animation in particular is awesome.

This hack looks great so far. The overworld looks fantastic and I like your level design. I'm really looking forward to seeing this progress. Keep it up.

After a while, here's the next level (i took a little long to work on this because i was working on it's music):

1-3: Mushroom Athletics
Music

This level has more platforming and also uses the bouncing mushrooms but now you bounce lower but if you press a or b you will bounce higher, and they're used better than in 9-1, this level also hides the yellow switch.





Also, there's the way to find the switch






I'm not really sure of the music fittingness in the level, but other than that pretty cool! You did a good job in the aesthetic field, and with the secret passages.
The hack looks very good, I like the use of the secret passages to hide secrets.
But I think you should make more use of the switch palaces and less frustating to get them.
On your last hack, the yellow and green switch was a pain to get and they was useless during the game.

If you want to post feedback at the least post something better than saying that is good.

But btw, after spenting some time unmotivated, i finally made another level.


1-4: Hidden Cave

It's just a basic cave level that introduces cave enemies like buzzy beetles and swoopers(on the first half) and spike tops(on the second half)





That's all so far, now i have to work on something very ldc.


I like the cave level you did with overworld rocks and minecraft texture. I hope the 1-Castle look cool.

One thing I'd do with 1-3 is change the palettes of the hills in the BG. The green and purple look off.

Nice! I liked your first hack but I didn't finish it. Sorry what I said about the ducks in your demo.

When I saw the overworld of your first hack, it demotivated me. Even the aesthetics of this game demotivated me of finishing my hack. Now I still have faith in my hack, but I don't know when I'll finish it. Good luck on this!

Finally, almost two months later, i finally made a new level!

1-5: Bowser's Abandoned Castle

As i said, Bowser is not on this hack, but this level takes place on a castle he build, but later he left.









Also, this castle has a secret exit that leads to World 3, but i will still work on W2 first.

I will try to work more on this hack from now but i will not promise anything.

Nice design here, the Bowser Statues placements aren't too threatening but it's kinda expected from the first castle. Is the boss there just plain old Boom Boom with nothing new? It would be nice if the boss arena had some sort of gimmick if that's the case, as it isn't exactly the most engaging boss by itself, specially since he's fairly common in other hacks as a early boss.

The decoration pillars could also be darker, just to make it more clear they aren't solid. Would be nice if you made it a slightly different color from the foreground too, just to break the slightly monotonous palette a bit more. Same for the Thwomps and Bowser statues I suppose, they kinda blend with the FG palette. I really like the visuals other than that, the background looks great.
2-1: Are You Shore? (yes this is the level name)







Also, i did some changes on the map, now World 2 has a secret level that leads to 4-2(i'm thinking on change to 5-1 because there are already two ways to enter World 4). also, the new secret level is based on something from minecraft

Some questions:

1) The Boom Boom Boss is from Tsutarja or Dahnamics? (I'm talking about the World 1-5 boss cutscene)



2) Are you using UberASM tool? i have some problems when i insert the level code in the uberasm tool like crashing.
3) Your hack have 16 worlds? I checked this. Looks like that you'll insert a lot of sprites and gimmicks and have more levels than the magic orbs. Are you using the PIXI tool?
1) It's from Tsu, and this isn't a cutscene
2) Nope.
3) The hack has the same ammount of levels but a few less exits and i'm not using PIXI.
