C3 Resource Level Design Contest >> A contest where you make a level with others' C3 resources! (DEADLINE: 15th)

Welp, might as well do something this C3 by hosting an interesting contest that I've only seen one time before. Anyway, welcome to the C3 Resource Level Design Contest (or C3RLDC for short) hosted unofficially by yours truly! The rules are very simple:

1) You may only use custom resources found in THIS C3 forum; you cannot use resources found in the official resource sections from the Menu of SMWC, use resources from older C3 forums, nor can you create your own stuff (this includes Hex Editing & LevelASM, unless said resource requires either or). Tools for inserting said resources are exceptions to this rule (AddMusicK, Sprite Tool, GPS, Asar, etc).
1.5) You're allowed to use patches from the section as long as it's to make a C3 patch function correctly.
2) You're allowed to use SMW's Vanilla Resources & Lunar Magic's features, but strictly making Vanilla Levels is discouraged. You have to use at least three resources (recommended to have one song and two sprites) from any of the lovely threads from this C3. You can use as many resources as you want as long as you can make a good level out of said resources.
3) You may NOT use anything from your own thread, so don't try to cheat by making a thread with resources that you're going to use. The main challenge is to use other's resources to your advantage. You cannot modify others' resources either.
4) The deadline ends on the 15th, giving you 6 days after C3 to finish your entry. If I were you, I wouldn't make a very ambitious level with this race against time. Slacking isn't advised, either.
4.5) After the deadline, you'll have until the 21st to submit, BUT you will receive a penalty for every day you don't submit. The formula is pretty much this: P=d(-2), or in english, Penalty is the same as every day times the points you loose (-2).

5) No joke entries; only solid levels are allowed here (unless said joke is used as part of the level design and isn't complete trash or pulling a Streamside).
6) Many rules for submitting hacks to the central should be considered here. More specifically, look at the "Immediate Removal" part of the guidelines.
7) You may work with one other person if you wish!

This is a contest that you can just enter for fun; prizes will differ depending on how many people participate, and judges are anonymous.

You don't need ASM knowledge at all in this contest; you literally insert what's available in this forum and make a level based off of what you choose.

Just letting everyone know that, yes, you can still submit after C3 is over. That's why I have the deadline set for after C3, since I knew not a lot of people would have time to make an entry within' two days since I created this thread at the end of the first day. Good luck, participants!

As much as I like the idea, and have to appreciate you trying to host this despite trouble with getting good attendance, I'm afraid I'm going to have to sit this one out, for the sake of C3 let's plays. Depending on how many levels get posted here, that could be an option if the contestants want it.
Just letting everyone know that there's 3 days left to submit your entry. Someone PM'd me a question lately about patches requiring existing patches in the patches section. This goes with the rule of using Hex Editing and LevelASM to make patches from C3 function and that yes, you're allowed to use patches from the section as long as it's to make a C3 patch function correctly. A new rule has been added to address this.

@Levelengine: I understand you're busy. Personally I'd like to see let's plays of all the entries that are submitted, but if anyone doesn't want their entry to be played through, feel free to post.

I might as well mention that if more than 7 people submit their entry to this contest, I may consider giving away any $25 game from Steam to the first place winner. I'll rise the price of said game by $5 for every 2 people that enter after 7 entries submitted.

I'm not sure what is meant by this, so I am able to use ANY patch from the SMWCentral Patches secton? Such as uberASM, DKC Status Bar, etc...

Or are you specifically talking about patches that will enhance the gameplay, like SA-1, FastROM, Dynamic, etc...

There are patches such as Erik577's Status Bar in his C3 Thread that requires the use of the "No More Sprite Tile Limits" patch that you can only find outside of the C3 forums. There are some codes from other C3 threads that require the use of UberASM to function, which UberASM is also only in the official Patches Section.

What I meant is you can only use patches from the sections if a C3 Patch or Sprite require it. Otherwise, no, you cannot freely use patches from the official section.

@Ruberjig I can't finish your entry because, for some weird reason, music break in cave part. I think it'll didn't crash on ZSNES, but I don't now...


Actually when I tried to insert some of music, some of them weren't working. I know i used a fresh rom ...Not sure what's happened.
Edit: I do know fast forwarding, rewinding. Or loading state breaks it.
Other than that not sure.

I used ZMZ, and this is an accurate emulator...
I'll try it on other emulators, to see, what will happen.
Edit: And I didn't used any of those "tools" (Okay, I used rewinding to escape from pits, because in this cave part death = crash, because of broken music)
