Level-specific bugs don't need to be reported since the entries were submitted with those bugs in the first place. However, if you or anyone else spots any collab-specific bugs (i.e. screen exits that lead to level 0, broken music, broken events/exits, etc), those are the ones we want to hear about.
Hey, wouldn't be nice the OW sprites being released together with the soundtrack?

I (Personally) think that many people should find a very good and creative use of them (specially the cablecar and the springboard) just like most people did with the soundtrack of every VLDC collab.
Thank you Jack, and thank you everyone else who submitted a level and helped with the mostrous compilation. Judging this and being part of the overworld creation was a whole lot of fun, testing more or less. But I'm really glad it was all worth it and I hope all of you have a blast playing it! I have played through all of those levels twice already, but even I feel like giving the (finally) completed version a relaxed try. It's that nice.

Tsutarja: maybe you wanna hit up leod and Medic about the sprites. Far as I'm aware of they recoded the overworld sprite system entirely, so it might not be something easy to make user friendly?

I have to ask a question. If anyone remembers I (Final Theory) made a submission entry to this collab and posted it saying "here is my entry". Later on I was told that I posted my entry in the show off thread and not in the official submission thread.

I made a public post saying that this was an accidental mistake and that it should have been posted in the official thread and not in the showoff thread.

Now I don't mind if my level wasn't judged because of the mix up, but I know that this collab took many months to put together and that there was plenty of time indeed to insert my level.

So my question is, did my level ever get inserted into the hack or not?

The soundtrack will definitely be released, likely in the next few days. I believe there are 12 map themes + 4-5 remixes, so they'll be submitted to the music section just like VLDC7's and VLDC8's were.

Final Theory: No, your level was not inserted. Only levels that were posted in the submissions thread (which has been the standard for the past nine years) were inserted. Sorry - the 10th VLDC is starting very soon though, so you're welcome to try again and post your entry in the right thread for that one.
Ok now I'm really, really glad to see this finally released! It's better late than never, and I have already started playing some levels at random. Thank you everyone for managing to make this possible with your contributions, and also thank you Jack for never giving up and seeing this through to the end. I could imagine the effort put during the whole process.

(starting to think VLDC is just a front for an asm showcase. I hope there's an overworld contest where the [ R E D A C T E D ] get to do whatever the hell they want for the levels it contains lol)

Hmm... I wonder... If there was actual progression: Grass -> Resort -> (Complete Forest) Mountain -> Snow -> Cave -> Ghost -> Space -> Abstract; Best and Worst would probably be secret worlds.

On a more serious note, I noticed "Simple Path"'s tile is yellow when it should be red. Also, it might just be me, but piranha stems are glitched squares.

Reasonable order, though most people have done the worst world first to get it out of the way. I'd save the space and abstract maps for right before the best world, as they're the most interesting.

We found this secret exit during beta testing - none of the judges caught it, and rightfully so, as it's not obvious at all where it is. Jack updated the checkmarks to reflect this, but forgot to change the icon to red. It'll be fixed in an updated version (but it's still not too big of a deal).

It's only in "Green Meadow", and that's only because the author submitted the level like that.
