Am i the only guy who works EVERY day on his hack?

I used to work day after day making levels or content for my hacks, whether it would be drawing graphics or building a level. Nowadays I barely open lunarmagic anymore.

Meh. I mostly do, but I don't do a lot at a time. Mostly, like, a small portion of a level a day, and maybe some Overworld every now and the.

I try to get something done every day if possible, even if it's some small aesthetic detail or coming up with gimmicks for future levels. It has been working pretty well so far I suppose, doing progress somewhat consistently helps me with motivation at least.
I try to do hacking stuff for at least an hour every day, that may not be much, but sometimes I spend about 3 hours instead :3

Current project: working on a personal website and a portfolio.
I like to open up Lunar Magic whenever I get the free time as I find it sorta relaxing when it comes to decorating levels with extra details. I'd say I'm on SMWC everyday so there's a good chance I'll have Lunar Magic opened.
It's not uncommon to spend every day hacking. I do that too lol, but I tend to be a bit more productive with music in the background

lost my computer which had lwrc4 on it, rip.

new hack soonTM

I do work every day, but not on a hack, I keep testing stuff on Lunar Magic and some other stuff, even though sometimes I enter and waste hours on my ROM Hack, but only when I'm really creative.

One day I'll make a layout...
If I a working on a hack I can get a few levels done in a day. Granted usually smaller ones but give me 5 hours an I can get 5 levels done.
There are days where I don't even touch LM or snes9x at all. It depends on what ideas I have and how long I've tested level design recently as well as how much or how little I spend on whatever else.

SMW hacking channel

I do this too. Not to the point of creating an entire level in a day, but I just keep testing tons of stuff for whatever level I have in mind.

How SMW hacking usually goes for me: make about a dozen levels in a couple weeks, then completely crash on inspiration and don't hack for another six months.

Haha, how relatable!
I try to finish my hack as much as I can, yet sometimes slow down to make sure details are nice. Level design is my toughest area, so that takes up the most time :P
Im right now in the middle of a "first time hack". I still have much to learn, but right now i would say i know the basics. To work on it every day, NO! that just does not happen for me. I usually work on learning a new hacking aspect to focus on for a day, then dont touch it for a week, just to test my skills another day. I would not call it a first time hack, but rather a hack just so i can learn how to hack. So that when i do decide to make a "first time hack" i would already learned how to hack. Even then i would not work on it every day, or even think of showing it off on smwc. I would just keep it to myself, then maybe some day il work on a hack that im proud of and show it off to smwc, but not now. ;(
I worked every day on it for a month, and then for 3 weeks for the playthrough.
Working on it for at least 1h30 or 2h everyday, but sometimes 6 hours. The playthrough, I played less though, because my patience playing isn't that high. But still everyday.

I actually tried this method when I work with my second hack (unreleased and canceled) in 2013, and release nightly version everyday through webdisk.

Then I created a bunch of poor-quality level. Since I suddenly run out of my ideas on someday, but I just want it finished because its boring to work on a single hack every day.

Finally, I understood slower progress will let you make better things today.
today is the first time I've touched my hack since my c3 demo lmao
I work on hacks in short, very productive bursts and then stop again for several months until I'm motivated/have time again. At the moment I simply don't have time to work, too much other stuff going on.
I hope to do so once college starts because I potentially have to use my laptop the whole time. I feel a little more motivated again after a dud period.
