Ys Origin - Silent Desert

Falcom Sound Team JDK makes great music, holy shit
Been bumping the album Beachboy by Mccafferty lately. On first listen you'll probably be wondering "wait, is this the same guy from The Front Bottoms?" Well no, but they're heavily inspired yes (shamelessly, as the lyrics on Bottom will remind you). It's very fun, and I love his voice and the overall instrumentation. It's a really good album to just put on and vibe to.
The best track is definitely the title track, I just love the disjointed nature of the song (I have a huge soft spot in my heart for songs that barely sound like they can keep themselves together). Other standouts are Dead-Bird, The Lion's Den, Blue Eye's Like the Devil's Water, and Wait.

Overall the singing / song style is probably very polarizing, and the lyrics are deliberately repetitive, but idk I love this kind of stuff. I'm just surprised it took me so long to get into this. I really love two of their other releases, but the second track on this one just put me off for so long (it's the worst song on the album definitely). I'm just glad I pushed through it and got into it.
ask me if i give a f*ck...

After being a massive Jawbreaker fan forever, I finally got around to checking out Dear You. AKA, "the album where they sold out and I burned all my jawbreaker memorabilia". I don't think I was ever hesitant to listen to it, emo is my favorite genre so I was pretty game to check it out, I just never did. And hey, it's pretty dam awesome! I really don't know what all the fuss was about (besides muh underground treasure), it's still very distinctly a Jawbreaker record (they've always had slower, more sappy songs). It also features the incredibly lyric:

"In my perfect world I'd be signed to a nice girl,
It would cost one million kisses"

My favorite song is probably Accident Prone, but there are a lot of good ones to choose from. In typical Jawbreaker fashion I don't think there's a downright back or even less than great song on the album. The first 4 are probably the strongest tho.

Apparently there is nothing announced anywhere that really interests me.

Univers Zero - heresie

Most would think of this as music for Halloween, but I could listen to it year round tbh
Iconic, CONVEX ft. Omar Khan has been lying on my computer for a few days cause I accidentally it when transfering songs to my phone. Can't believe I was missing it tho, this track is pure fire #thp{O_O1}
