Oh. Well that settles that then. Cheers :0

My request is somewhat similar to that but that's not exactly it. The name is similar but that just because I didn't know what else to name it. Also since I'm bad at explaining things these video examples will explain better of what I mean.

Example 1

Example 2

Example 3

Not sure if that would be possible somehow but I hope that helps.
My Youtube Channel for Hacking and Gaming.
(I hope this is not too heavy of a request.)

  • Request name: Switchable One-way Blocks.
  • Type: Block.
  • Short description: These are one-way blocks that change direction whenever a certain switch is pressed; ON/OFF, Blue/Silver P-Switch.
  • Graphics/Resources: Uses GHB's one-way blocks as a a base.
  • Long description:
    • Direction it changes to is customisable.
    • It reverts to its original direction when the P-Switch runs out, obviously.

Hi, could someone please create a simple patch that makes Mario always moving. I'd like to use it in my C3 entry (credit will obviously be be entitled). Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you mean something like this, unless you meant by something like this request, then IDK. Also, someone should update the list.
I have a special Challenge ASM request. I dare you to make what I describe in my video actually happen.

Basically, it will be a sprite similar to the marine pop sprite.

http://www.smwcentral.net/?p=section&a=details&id=3522

Only it turns the player into a top-down overhead rpg action adventure style player.

Technically I could use the currently available marine pop sprite and achieve this, but it would be kind of awkward and wouldn't work very well.

So I'm requesting someone to do this in a more proper way. This will allow people to make games with characters who can use sprite sheets of this type:

Here is a video of me describing the whole thing. I think it very possible and would allow people to create new types of hacks.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlvZZf_i7yg&feature=youtu.be

It would also be a good idea to do two different versions. One with a 16x16 size character and another with a 32x16 size character.
A giant thwomp that when collides the ground, sends two shockwave sprites that travels on ground heading left and right. The shockwave sprites disappears when it goes off the ground. Can have a !Define option if the user wanted the quake to stun the player.
Give thanks to RPG hacker for working on Asar.
Why does my fireball hijack request says 'rejected'? It got an approved update recently lol
Because the list is oudated. I will update it in August.

This is a great idea, and one I'd like to see happen as well. Especially in sprite/generator form, since you could make it so only certain levels use a top down view. Mayb a bit like in Adventure of Link where the overworld and dungeons worked differently.

Remember seeing something like this in a Japanese ROM hack a few years back. Definitely be interesting to see it as an available sprite.

As for Mario's Nightmare Quest? Well, it's currently on Fusion Gameworks, ROM Hacking.net or the GCN at the moment.

back home so time to do some more of these i guess

Request name: pipe dwelling pitchin chuck
Type: sprite
Short description: a charging chuck that sticks it's head out of a pipe (much like a pipe dwelling lakitu) and throws a few baseballs, then goes back inside
Resources: vanilla smw chuck sprites
other stuff: maybe make an alternate version that throws footballs or something? (footballs are awful tho lol)
@Thomas - That was quick, so thanks.

You mean just like this one, except also in 16x16, 16x32, and 32x16 sizes?
the vegetable seen in gyromite, its moveable an temporarily inmobolizes another sprite, after the the vegetable is eaten in is gone.
another thing i thought might be a good gimmick, if yoshi doesnt eat fruit in time he goes back to egg, i think seen in mario sunshine.
Request Name: Slippy pole, vine, latter, ect

What does this block do?

This block acts just like the climbing net in the castle levels, but you can't punch it.

When you climb up and around on it it acts just like the regular climbing net and the speed you move around with is the same in all directions except when you press down directly.

When you press straight down you "slide" down the fence. Just like when climbing a real rope when you slide down it or a fire fighter who sliding down a fire pole.

I would assume that the sliding down would have acceleration, at first you don't slide that much, but then you really start sliding and you pick up speed.

The reason for using a fence tile and not a vine tile is because vine tiles suck at moving diagonally whereas fence tiles don't.

Thanks!
Request Name: Mario's Air Bubbles

Type: Sprite

What it do?:

I want to have stand alone air bubbles (the ones from mario while he's underwater) that I can place in underwater levels around plants or cracks in the oceans floor to bring the environment to life.

I would prefer it to spawn bubbles in such a way so that it doesn't seem to repetitive. Like if I place two of these sprites next to each other I don't want them to behave the exact same since it will look unnatural.

Maybe have an option on how many bubbles it will spawn. You could pick just 1 bubble at a time or another option to have more.

Just make it look cool in other words. :)

Yeah, just put another request when someone is working on your previous request or wait for a week or something.

Just discovered this thread, so I might as well request something:

- Request name: No Yoshi Generator.
- Type: Generator.
- Description: Makes any Yoshi on screen puff out of existence.
- Resources: This generator may help. And this block almost does everything I ask sans the "taking yoshi away for the level" kind of thing. This one too.
- Links: Haven't been able to found the source, but I swear I saw a video of VIP 5 once where bringing a Yoshi to the World's 7 airship causes the exact same effect described below. I do, however, have the next best thing.
- Long Description: The generator checks Yoshi's presence on the screen and makes it dissapear in a puff of smoke (with the "puff" SFX, if possible). If there's someone riding it, It will become unavailable for the level. Otherwise, it will be considered lost and the player will be forced to get another one somewhere else.

EDIT:

I'm...not sure. While it does most of what I need, it outright kills yoshi instead of taking him away for the level.

Still, since it's an actual "best next thing", I might as well make use of it for the time being.
You sure it's not just this block?
