Are you able to add cel shading? I'm gonna try making a hack soon, and I want a cel shaded art style.
What are the tools you use to change Mario's model?

I think u can change with level importer but u need to separate the legs, body and the head.
Hi !

I have a question : how can I change the model ID and behavior of an object in Toad's Tool ? I don't know why, but it's locked. (I can change with the list, but not manually)

Thanks !

Some of the boxes in TT64 appear to be locked; to edit them you have to hold down the Alt. key on your keyboard while clicking on them, then you can type in a number.

Collision
Q; Why does the game freeze when I play through?
A; It's often caused by using a solid object who's collision is not in any available rambank (no way to fix this aside from reimporting with a new rambank)...

What does that mean? I'm new to rom hacking and I'm having this same problem, it crashes in a certain area... I try to look around to reimport a new rambank, but I can't find it. I've also tried to reduce polygons and limit the number of objects near there, but the same problem occurs over and over again. In the area, there is a Chain Chomp, a hidden star, five "secret" locations (aka Check Points), and a couple "Bubbly Trees". I can post pictures if that helps to solve this problem... I have no idea how to fix this... #smw{o_O?}

Are you using the "Ground Enemies" object bank? If not, the game will crash when you go near a Chain Chomp

I fixed it! The secret locations and the star were connected except for one secret location. I did check through the object bank for an hour after that post however... Thanks! Your post did fix something else that was causing trouble.
How does one move the Power Meter to the bottom left part of the screen, and how do I leave it active even when the meter's full?

What causes scrolling textures to stop scrolling completely? I've tried projected textures and non projected textures and putting the polygon count to 127 but they still won't scroll. I've also tried removing them in Toad's Tool and reverting the level. Didn't work either to get them scrolling again.

For moving the power meter, I think there's an option in the SM64 Tweaker for that. You can download that tool here: http://pilzinsel64.square7.ch/Downloads/SM64Tweaker/

Unfortunately, it seems that recent version hasn't implemented the Power Meter HUD yet.

I had that same issue before. I think if your map is near of the polygon count limit some scrolling textures may stop to work. To solve this I had to cut out polygons and remove some textures.

The option is there, but I just tested it and it doesn't seem to work, so nevermind.

The first level has around 18000 faces and the scrolling textures work fine. So I don't think a high poly count would cause them to stop working. I fixed it the last time by deleting all the textures and then texturing everything again, but I really don't feel like doing it again. I feel I may have to though, since there's no other fix. I think what causes it is if a scrolling texture is too far down the material list, the importer doesn't read it properly and stops working. So I put the scrolling textures as the first material to keep that from happening.
