HERE YOU GO!
All the levels from the first VLDC in one ROM, now with a finished overworld and other fancy stuff. If you've played the version from last C3 then this is pretty much the same thing. If you haven't heard of this before, then welcome to 2008.
Note that even when the game autosaves, it doesn't keep track of which levels have been cleared or which levels you collected the Yoshi coins, so you will have to do that yourself. The level credits file marks how many exits are in each level and which ones contain Yoshi Coins.
A big thank you to everyone who supported me on this project.
If you find any bug in the hack let me know.
Now, some of you might want to ask me if I'm going to do VLDC2-6. I'd love to see those compilated as much as you do, but VLDC1 already took a lot of my hacking time, and I don't feel like putting together another contest right now, so the short answer is no. Rockythetigre told me he was working on VLDC2 and I gave him some advice, but I don't know how he's going or if it's still working on it.
If you want to compilate any of the VLDCs, I'll post a guide explaining what I did in VLDC1 and giving you tips on how not messing everything up. I wanted to post it at the same time as the release of the hack, but I haven't written it yet, so keep an eye on this thread.
Have fun.
