It all started out as a Sonic the Hedgehog fangame project, but eventually transformed into an original platformer inspired by the said videogame series, GalaxyTrail's Freedom Planet series puts you into the shoes of anthropomorphic heroines—Sash Lilac (a.k.a. Little Miss Heropants), Carol Tea, and Milla Basset—on a mission to save the world of Avalice from a looming evil threat. Focusing more on story and combat rather than fast-paced platforming, the series has gained attraction by fans and fans of platforming games at heart. So far, the series has spawned two games—one released in 2014, and the sequel, Freedom Planet 2, which will be released this year.
Are you up to it? Well, discuss.
