Luigi's Revenge! New Patch + Discord Server

Standard

i did fixed also
i did send you feedback
i thought it was full hack testing
In IGGY'S CASTLE???, on the climbing net if you sit at the top you can get infinite 1-UPS if you let the bullet shooter continually shoot. I would suggest removing it (bullet shooter) entirely.

In LAKESIDE PASS, getting the key into the keyhole makes the brown platform suddenly disappear. You can fly over the goal tape here and even skip most of the level with the blue Koopas if you have Yoshi, but I noticed the Chuck after the goal tape so I realized that you meant that as an "I see what you did there" type of thing. To be honest, I actually LOST Yoshi to that Chuck. Well played, Kaisaan.

In KOOPA'S SUN, on the large slope, occasionally the smoke from the sliding koopa wraps around to the bottom right corner of the screen, but it took me a while to notice this so it's nothing to worry about.

Overall, I enjoyed playing this demo. It was a little short, but it was sweet. I look forward to the final version where it all comes together!

[looks forward, sees DS and computer monitor with the LR overworld]
Oh, um, thanks for the feedback I guess...

About progress...

Well, I'm porting to a new ROM for, reasons. So that's why I haven't really said much here, but if you want progress, go to the hacks's IRC channel at #Luigi'sRevenge!
Wow, after I got my motivation to work on this, things have been going pretty well, what's even better is that I have a video that not only shows off W2-1 without the sprite errors, but with some other stuff, here it is!

Feedback is greatly appreciated!
I like that level. It's probably my current favorite in the hack. Maybe some different music in the sub-level though? Maybe something a bit more energetic or frantic?

Oh, ok, I'll change it, as I only put that to show off my port.
Woo that was fast...

Anyways... I UPDATED THE HACK!!!11one

I should've done it before, but now was a good time for me.

I update the screenshots too.

Please give feedback as that will help me make the hack better!

At 0:03 in the K.S. Presents logo it says I'm-a Luigi, number 1! Did you import that yourself? Where'd you get it from?

Do you mind telling me where you got those graphics for the background with the water in them? I see them in all kinds of SMW hacks and cant find the graphics file...

Also this hack is looking quite interesting

Well, it's in GFX 2C, I think, there are two 8x8's in there that you'll need, you will also need a custom pallete and extra map16 space. If you need further elaboration, just ask.

Oh, and thanks for calling it "interesting", nobody really has anything good to say to my hack...

The GFX? No, it's used in one of the original castle destruction sences, as water in the background, which is why it is so fitting and used, and it's vanilla!

With map16, just make sure the GFX slots are the same (2C).
I love this hack, I also love Luigi's high jump is in it. But the plot is dark, but original.

P.S. How did you make Luigi high jump?

Hey there, thanks for the positive feedback! I used this patch for the jump height.

Anyways, I'm actually restarting the hack from scratch. Even though I already released a demo, not many people liked it, which I sort of agree with. The hack will now be completely chocolate, and will use the SA-1 patch. I'll post progress of it once I find a way to convert patches to SA-1.
I think the reason people didn't like it, was that it breaks when you come back to it. Other than that it's fine, so please keep the levels.

Well actually, you're probably wrong. It's the fact that the levels are just extremely-sugar-coated-"blatant"-edits of the original levels.
