The Most Overused Sprites in SMW Hacking?

I'm just curious as to what sprites do you guys think is the most OVERUSED in SMW Hacking?

And no, Standard Sprites do NOT count because I mean... they work with everything. I'm looking in terms for Tileset Specific Sprites, Generators, or Custom Sprites if you will...

Although, an exception to CLASSIC PIRANHA PLANTS because they require custom GFX.

A majority of the Yoshi's Island sprites.
Thwomp boss, N00b boss, Pix, Mouser, Ground Pound Koopa, Big Boo... yeah, just about any boss from about 2008 or so would probably count. Along with anything included in sprite tool by default.

You say standard sprites don't count, but what reason do koopas have being in every level? Just because they are always available does not mean they should always be used.

I just now realized those could be included, not just custom sprites. I can answer that more easily. Pitchin' and Puntin' Chucks, Volcano Lotuses, Bullet Bill generators, and Big Boo boss come to mind.

They have a lot of variations so they're very versatile sprites. And, you know, killing enemies with shells is fun.

Do people still use the Thwomp boss, anyhow? It feels like I'm back in 2010 over here with these complaints...

I used all of these in my VLDC level :P

I definitely think some sprites are more versatile and useful in standard gameplay, while others are more situational.

I'd definitely say the most overused would include chucks, pokeys, volcano lotuses, dolphins (in a water level), flying hammer bros, falling grey platforms, thwomps and thwimps, creating/eating blocks, and saws/ropes/grinders.

Some of the most underused are machakoopas, dino rhinos, skull rafts, magikoopas, bony beetles, lakitu, porcupuffers, floating spike balls, and many others.

And I think as of more recently, Bowser statues. They're super cool though so I understand.

Hopping-flipping-flames. Do you know why these blazing bozos only appear in one level (near the end of the special world) in the original SMW? Because they're an annoying, slow-moving, semi-patroling enemy who render large swaths of land impassible for an aggravating amount of time (thereby completely breaking the pacing of most levels) and they have buggy hit detection for many of the few things they're actually vulnerable to on top of that (thank potatoes the cape is so hilariously overpowered in this game). Whoever thought it was a good idea for them to leave behind those execrable trails of flaming feces which take five decades to biodegrade ought to be flushed down the toilet.

Creating/eating blocks are definitely overused no matter what.

I also feel like listing SMW's original bosses, since they have been done to death in a good bunch of hacks if I do say so myself.
