I don't see how three closely related colors would make for a particularly interesting palette (it's like using green, cyan and blue). However, I do think the contrasting colors look kinda bad, but from a game design perspective: the crazy color scheme implies the enemy is more dangerous than it actually is (which is particularly true when you consider what red, green and purple [yes, it's purple] are commonly associated with: fire, acid and poison, respectively). It looks like some sort of invincible insta-kill Porcu-Puffer or something, when all it does is jump at you lol. I'll change it to something more consistent (yellow + red + purple?).

pls stop calling purple blue lol
Anyway, I actually am aware of that, but the problem is that the level
right before it (Lava Lift Lair, which is also a lot more fiery) already has a red gradient (or, well, blue ~> red) so, in order to avoid repetition, I changed it so purple ~> orange; the colors are still warm so it doesn't lose
way too much of its old atmosphere.
Speaking of Ice Floe Inferno, people said the green water looked unfitting/like sludge so I changed it back to blue:
into you
Thanks for the kind comments (and the one about Tourou Temple
)
