Have you ever thought to yourself: Man that main OW sucks being there all big and smug. I love designing submaps, and I wish I had more! Well think no more (important note: please keep thinking) because now there is the (drumroll please)

That sounds pretty bitching for SMB3 styled hacks, though the shared palettes sounds like a pain in the butt. Nonetheless that's wicked yo.

Yeah this is pretty nice, it's about time this thing came into existance.

Also random suggestion if you're bored and feel like doing it, but maybe you could also have different main map splits like this:

Where a submap is as wide as two normal submaps, so you can scroll horizontally in each.

Also for bonus points you can do mixed configurations e.g.:

This is pretty useful, great work #tb{:)} Would have been perfect for me if you seperated the palettes but I guess I can come up with a workaround. It's still really nice.
I was already working on a version that allows for custom palettes/graphics with each submap, but I wanted to release the patch at C3 and it wasn't finished yet. You can expect an updated version soon™.
I like Lui's idea, "mini main maps" would be super cool.
But yeah great job, I've seen some hacks that rely on submaps only and giving them the opportunity to have even more worlds is super amazing. Myself, I like my main map large and spread out, but gotta respect different opinions and beliefs man #smw{:peace:}

This should be included in the next Lunar Magic, if you want 12 Submaps or 2 Big overworlds.

Giving us the opportunity to make submaps beyond the limit SMW imposes is amazing. This will undoubtedly motivate people who are used to building larger and spread out maps and want to split such maps. I don't care much about the available space, it's all a matter of different opinions and beliefs.

As someone who a) likes working on overworlds and b) has run into situations where this would be really handy, I REALLY like this idea.

Frankly, I didn't even know this was POSSIBLE until now. Way to go, Medic.
Want to see some of my cool swords? Well, too bad, right now you only get to see one of them, and it's my avatar. Might set up some kind of gallery/portfolio at some point, though.

If I could incorporate this with a patch that I'm working on, it would be so awesome!
I'm... actually really surprised something like this hasn't been made already, but I'm glad it has been made now, something like this will be totally useful when I get back into SMW hacking #ab{:D}

Any of the original submaps, will count as submaps. The new "submaps" are counted as being on the main OW.

You could probably have 2 main maps relatively easily, but not one very big one.
Neat. I've always secretly wondered about something like this.

Kind of related question: Why are the 6 default submaps not all the same size? It annoys me that (I think) the top two are one tile taller.
