Standard

This hack looks very good! Has it got custom sprites?

I finished all of the level names!

World 1: Grassy Island
A simple, lush plain. Kamek's forces have only recently reached this far, so expect an easy time.

1-1 Splitway Plains
1-A Backdoor Cave
1-B The South Castle
1-2 Moles and Holes
1-3 Outpost of Evil
1-4 The North Castle

World 2: Burning Desert
This desert is too hot for most, but Mario must make his way through it. Only the toughest enemies can survive here.

2-1 Scorched Earth
2-2 Abandoned House
2-A Firey Caverns
2-3 Dunes of Sand
2-4 Steepslope Cave
2-5 Near the Bridge
2-6 Buzzy's Castle

World 3: Fuchsia Forest
This forest is so bright, some cannot look at it or their eyes will burn as if looking at the sun.

3-1 Enter the Forest
3-2 Fake Forest Falls
3-3 Flickering House
3-4 Double Take
3-A The Lost Temple
3-B River of Fire
3-5 Spiny's Castle

World 4: Lush Mountain
A very rocky, yet plant-filled chain of mountains. It is also known as a prime vacation spot.

4-1 The Rocky Pass
4-2 Mountain Village
4-3 Cloudgrass Mt.
4-4 Crazy Door Maze
4-5 Waterlogged Area
4-6 Hammer Castle

World 5: Frozen Overhang
This land was formed when a glacier rode up a sloped mountain. As it melted, the water created drained downwards and eroded the lower half of the mountain.

5-1 Cold Area Ahead
5-2 Frozen Landscape
5-3 Bullet Barrage
5-4 Icecap Bridge
5-5 A Train Station
5-6 Ghostly Castle

World 6: Weird World
A combination of pollution, explosives testing, and radioactive meteor showers created a place where anything goes and nothing makes sense. There is rumored to be an infamous Plot Hole located in it somewhere.

6-1 Embrace the Odd
6-2 Gathering Spot
6-3 Yummy Factory
6-4 Monster Maker
6-5 City of Robots
6-6 Land of DarkNES
6-7 Wiggler's Castle

World 7: Gimmick Area
Kamek uses this place to test new traps, weapons, etc. to reinforce his army.

7-1 Off with a Bang
7-2 Keep On Running
7-3 Things Heat Up
7-4 Underwater Lair
7-5 Muddy Ruins
7-6 Airship Ascent
7-7 Spike Stockpile
7-8 Bullet Castle

World 8: Kamek's Lair
Kamek was originally given this island on loan from Bowser, and uses it as a permanent base.

8-1 Random Outpost
8-2 Think About It
8-3 Elevators..Yay?
8-4 Glistening Cave
8-5 Obsolete Base
8-5 Rubble Stockpile
8-6 Cram Session
8-7 Kamek's Castle

World 9: Deluxe Bonus Area
Mario has defeated Kamek, yet needs to travel through some very familiar terrain to wipe out all his minions.

9-1 Gnarly II
9-2 Tubular II
9-3 Way Cool II
9-4 Awesome II
9-5 Groovy II
9-6 Mondo II

Also, minor OW touchups:

They're pretty good, although the OW is looking a bit squareish, but that's my opinion. Also, for music, I recommend The Unforgiving Desert for Burning Desert, Moonside Swing for Weird World, and Gimmick Mountain Zone for Gimmick Area. Although for them actually inserted into SMW, you're on your own or ask somebody else for help, since I'm not good at making custom music for SMW. I can also try to assist with level pallets and decoration.
I have a DeviantArt, if you do want to see my art on there. I don't really visit it much now, though.

Ah, the Game Gear... Seriously, the Sonic Game Gear games are the best games ever...
Thanks for the suggestions!

No problem, and if you need pallet and decoration help, just ask me!

Slightly Redone 1-1
1-A
After discovering the port request thread, I had this made:
Sonic 2 (Game Gear) - Crystal Egg Zone
(Sorry cheeyev, but the Gimmick Mountain MIDIs were causing problems.)
This is the first of many songs fron the Game Gear Sonic games.
Edit: 1-2!

Hey PorygonPOW I managed to say to you that in some hacks I played is multiple music in overworld maps. Maybe you could do this?

Remember how the North Castle and the South Castle only differ in sprite design?
Well, here's a spriteless level that will be used as a basis for both levels.
And another thing about these 2 levels:

I still don't know how this is going. I don't want to rush you, but It's been a while, so...

Hey, it's the Coney Island Disco Palace! I still think that the only difference in the two levels is sprite design is a bit odd, though, unless there's a section which is basically an endless/lava pit and you use sprites to get across it.

Hmm... The shared level design was supposed to be for a small reward for getting both exits in 1-1, but it does seem stupid in hindsight. I might have to rethink the idea...

I've been making minor touchups to World 1, and now, I present...
The World 1 Demo!
Feel free to play it, post videos about it, whatever! Feedback is much appreciated.
WARNING: ANYONE TRYING TO PASS THIS OFF AS THEIR HACK OR A FULLY FINISHED GAME WILL BE DESTROYED!!!
Thank you.

I've played through your hack, and it was really cool! But, is it just me or does Mario look depressed?
This is temporary

I edited his eyes and mustache, maybe that's why? He doesn't look depressed to me, though.

I have returned...
Anyway, 2-1 is done. That's nice. I also upgraded the palletes to make them more vibrant and less dull. I also made my own gradients instead of using LM, and it looks good.
Also, the castles now actually fade at the end:

Well, after figuring out why my computer wasn't working, I am back once again.
Anyway, here's a preview of the next level and its tileset. Also, new title screen:

I think it's best that you submit the demo to the hacks section so more people are likely to see it.
W2 is almost done, so I'll probably submit a demo when I finish it.
