its time to go through the Lava Land!
a stage that sounds like "be epic and not fried!"
well, i dont have much to say
you know why ,ofcourse

but the BG/FG looks amazing!
I believe this stage gonna be a nice trip through the hell #smw{>:)}
... yea , I think thats all I have to say, Keep working #Peace~ #smw{:peace:}
Really nice looking so far, I especially like the lava stream at the bottom. The rock graphics actually remind me of a lava-based tileset I made a long while back in 2004. The background however is very well done. Excellent work.
Hey there Eevee long time no see, huh? How's the progress of the hack?

Today I'm revealing Mervin's Castle. For those who have played the original hack, you'll remember that Mervin is the fourth boss. This is his level.

Just like in the original, this uses a snowy varient of the usual castle tileset, and the freezing cold water at the bottom is instant-death, although this time it is on layer 3.

As usual tell me what you think! ^^
This looks great! I have a little bit of the original Sicari, but this one looks so much better than the original did. Also, how did you make the freezing water on layer 3 insta-kill? Just curious...

Keep up the good work!#smw{:TUP:}
It's very purple, I like it. The snowy variant of the castle was and still is a good idea.
I hope that you've put a message box or something to tell the player that the frozen water is deadly, though, because I couldn't tell myself before reading it.
Anyway, now that we saw Mervin's level, I look forward to see himself as well! #wario{:D}
This level is very good. Keep up the good work#smw{:TUP:}

Today I'm showing off 6-1, a new level, which is now the first level of Niscura's castle. It is named "The Hike" and involves Sicari and K-16 making their way to Niscura's castle through a dangerous mountain path.

As usual tell me what you think. :>

Nice to see you using more HUE SHIFT i really love how the FG looks, though i'm not sure if i like how the yellow clouds + hdma looks but i think that is just me.
Looking awesome as most of the stuff you've shown lately, keep up the good work.

Really loving the aesthetics, that looks really professional. Is the background static? Having a hard time figuring out.

I think it'd be nice if you tried to eliminate the grid on the rocky texture. The texture itself is quite nice, but it's easily noticeable that it repeats.
@Suika: Thanks, I've been trying out palette variety as of late to set a better tone ^^

@Pika: The backhground's static ATM, but I'll be attempting to give it a very slow scroll, just like the first level in TSRPR2 so that Niscura's castle doesn't loop. If anyone has a code for that, be sure to let me know.

@Berkay: Thanks for the tip, I'll be sure to draw more dirt tiles ^^

There's a tool for that, actually. Alternatively, you can convert the level into a Layer 2 stage, and have the background not loop at all.

(rip my other userbars momentarily)

I'd say use the tool, as Layer2 has the tendency to use a lot of the SNES's CPU. Otherwise, I'm really liking the background, lots of detail in the castle for sure. Niscura has a nice thing going on, too bad for her some unwelcome guests are on their way.

Curses, another fellow villain is going to fall this week, I knew I should've sent her some of my Elites, but she rejected!!!
Minor update with some updated grassland palettes again. This has been a while in the making, since I've had trouble coming up with something satisfying, and to be honest I didn't like the old one much myself. Anyway here.

Tell me what you think .^.
It looks very good, great work Eevee#smw{:peace:}
