How do you add descriptions/times to an SPC?

I'm Toastypk, I've submitted a few songs to this site, but once on this site I read that they have to have descriptions and times on them. I personally like my SPCs looping constantly, but since I want to submit more, I have to put these on. How, though?

I see in the one thread that you use Winamp, but I don't use Winamp for SPC songs, I have Meridian Advance. I get the SPC from the ROM I put it on using ZSNES. I like loading an SPC and listening to it loop, but I want to put descriptions/times for the songs I want to submit. Is there another program that does this or something?

Thanks.
If you use AddmusicK to port you can edit the ID666 tags with the #spc directive:
Code
#spc {
	#title		"abc"
	#game		"def"
	#length		"X:XX"
	#author		"ghi"
	#comment	"jkl"
}

AddmusicK will output the file in the SPC folder

Actually the only Addmusic I've used is Addmusic Made Easy. Easy to edit a txt file, hit a few keys, and load the rom to listen to the song or a revision.
What makes AddmusicK different? Is there a tutorial?
Many things, listing a few:
* Doesn't crash your ROM in accurate emulators (requirement for submitting a hack)
* All the songs in the section work with it
* Retro-compatibility with Addmusic4.05 and AddmusicM songs
* Easier sample insertion
* GUI interface
* Special super loops ([[ ]]) and remote code directives (![]) for porters
* Porter Mode: Listen to your song without inserting it to a ROM!
* A lot of useful hex commands
* A lot more

AddmusicK readme should explain you all, but if you have doubts feel free to ask and I'll tell you.

How can you turn on Porter Mode? I never used that feature.

Thanks! I'm just used to the .exe one.

Oh, I see. It's because you don't have SPC700 player. Link

First extract all the files in a folder, then right click in an SPC file -> Open with... and search for the SPCPlay.exe file. Now AMK's porter mode will work!

Okay, thanks. Although, I already have it!

Maybe, I should tell my friend TasPlayer about this.

Off-topic but: Why are you still using ZSNES? Why are you not using ZMZ? It's much better than ZSNES. Also, ZSNES is no longer supported.
I play forum games and draw furries. I'm mostly active on Discord and Twitter.

SPC Generation doesn't work in ZMZ.

It does. What ZMZ doesn't support is Netplay and video recording.

It really should support movie recording as well. :/

Nowadays there's plenty of recording programs anyway that are easier to use than what ZSNES asked of you to boot.

What if you are recording a TAS?

No matter what you're doing, you should use Snes9x, not ZSNES. Everybody says to use ZMZ but the sound crackles and it's laggy. I used to use ZSNES and when I found out it's terrible, I still used it for a few weeks. Eventually I felt really guilty of using an inaccurate, unsupported, and potentially unsafe emulator.

Lemme try and list a few reasons Snes9x is better than ZSNES:
  • Real rewind
  • Accuracy
  • Better GUI
  • Supports Windows copy/paste
  • AVI recording
  • Netplay
  • Nobody bothers you every time you say ZSNES

There.

That should be just you. I'm prettty sure the audio crackle was fixed in 1.7 or something like that, if it's not working just update your snes9x core.

Then use snes9x-rr, BizHawk or lsnes.

..I totally went offtopic but I felt like saying this.
Snes9x doesn't have rewinds though. :/

I used it before and it doesn't have rewinds.

Rewinds aren't really a good TASing tool anyway.
At least not if you want to make an actually good TAS.
Your layout has been removed.
Why?

Rewinds>Save States

Rewinds will making TASing a lot easier to use with.

Save States too hard for me.

If they think it's not good for TASing, their idiots then.
