Kaissan: I want to finish your level, if you can lende me the mwl, music, etc. I'll appreciate it (I'll put your name still)
I decided to quit like I said on previous post, but don't worry, I'll check progress of the hack and level list updates and after the work goes 100%, I'll play this hack. Bwahahahahaha!Who is your favourite player?

Reposting this... Anyways, for a submap, I could do World 2.This is temporary
I think Erik will agree with that post. I will give some extra feedback of the hack.Who is your favourite player?

Mario3andU: Ok, thanks for confirming.

As for me, here is one aesthetic/level idea for 1-6:
Gotta put some more enemies
Now this makes sence, Erik!Who is your favourite player?

I've got some progress done, but not much. I'm still working on making background objects, so it may appear quite empty for now.
I'm thinking of sticking with the Disco Ball for the first room - is that okay?
The second room will be misty and will be more "ghastly" than the first part.
Also, I'm starting to think about the boss for the level. I'm thinking of using that Reznor that someone released during C3. But that's your decision Erik.( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Current Project:Vanilla Rendezvous, my project. Click here to see the C3 thread.
Finally back and more active than ever!

@AlwaysANoob: That looks pretty good so far. It's always a nice change to see the Disco Ball sprite used. Allows for some interesting design choices, in my opinion.
@Erik557: The colors are looking pretty cool so far, I like the look of it. The only thing I would say to change (if it'll even be part of the level, that is), is that you might want to lower the lava by one tile. Lava placed next to a corner tile often creates an odd-bit of cutoff.
But I can't do it right now, I'll send it probably tomorrow.
Finally, after a major rehaul of design and graphic-choice, I've decided to show what progress I've made on my (second attempt at the) level. Forgive the 'meh' looking background, as my graphic making skills are a little rusty. And Erik, despite what the most recent PM I've sent to you said, I actually only need ExGFX92. I was able to compress both files into one with a bit of re-working.

Like what? I'm kinda running short on ideas.

Looking good. The level could be a tad more difficult, given this:

, I'd like to take part in this... if it isn't any problem.
Having read through this thread a bit, I think this is all that's needed: I'll take level 2-7 (0x10), as for custom music, ExGFX slots and Sublevels... I need to check what's free, so I'll update later with that information.
OK. Erik will point you in level list.Who is your favourite player?

Greetings.
I'll be using 2 sublevels, 0x30 and 0x31 and this track.
Name of the level will be "Sunken Heaven" - A once popular town that sunk into the shifting sands due to the evil that plagued it. (Images coming soon...)
And... Quick questions:
-Is there a limit on how many ExGFX and Map16 pages we can use?
-That said. Can I use a Layer 3 BG?
-How long (screens) levels should be?
-Is there a MAP16 pages list? I'm hesitant to build the level due to not knowing what page should I use.
Sorry for being late, I have visits for, probably, all the week and I hate my computer.
@AlwaysANoob: I like the idea of using the disco ball. Looks good
@a hick: I'm still deciding what to do with your level.
@Centipede and Kaisaan: k
@Veck: Looks good but there is cutoff it's a bit undecorated, and I feel like you should modify the green palette.
@Nathan Asrtid: Ok, I'll point all the claims as this: -Sublevels 35 and 36
-GFX slots... 8B to B3 and BE+ are free.
-Music Slot 36
I like the level idea.
Now for your questions:
-No (but I prefer a vanilla feel in the level)
-Yes
-0x0F-0x16 is good
-I swear I included one in the base ROM (pages 9+ are free)
btw i should update everything... -_- i promise tomorrow a new base ROM
I've made some progress on Level 0B. I've made some adjustments to the palette (mainly just decreasing the saturation on the sprites), and made the pipes red - though it'll probably be made darker eventually. I've also added some decoration to the foreground and background (clouds), and I've made some minor changes to land-formation and enemy placement.
As of right now, I'm currently planning the second-half of the level, and making some adjustments to make the level more difficult in general.
Then... this wouldn't break the hell out of the general atmosphere in the hack, would it?
Still no L3-BG though.

F*ck, my bad for not checking those files... Although I don't have the password, so yeah, thanks for filling me out in that. Will return back to working on this.
