This is a great patch and I'll definitely use it in my hack. It reminds me a lot of iChun's Morph mod for Minecraft. Also, is it possible to make another version of this sprite but set it to different tilemaps, and have both of them in the same ROM?

A simple idea is a Bob-omb. You can turn into one, although you can't jump. Instead, pressing the jump button makes you explode. Exploding will return you back to normal. Maybe even Yoshi if you wanted. Another one is Monty Mole. Pressing down while on a ground tile will cause you to dig into it. Pressing the jump button while you're in a tile to get out of it.

That's about it.
My suggestion for this is that when it falls from the ceiling, it gets stuck on the ground for a while, leaving you vulnerable to being hit. Mash the jump button to get back on your feet. Most normal attacks don't affect a player that morphed into a Spike Top, although fire attacks and spikes will hurt it.
