Ohio folks, came to present my thingy. I've been working very hard on it. Always trying to be resourceful, creative and consistent, this is Plumber Luigi - The mystery of the Endless Rest.

Thanks Mirann for the screenshots

Still a demo, but a lot's already done, lacking very few stuff besides levels.

Length: 28 exits
Difficulty: Normal
Graphical: Chocolate
Musical: The only thing I know how to do so all by myself (with some support by Grate)
Supporters: Grate, Mirann
Tested by: Gloomier, Grate, Mirann, Suika Ibuki

Bug:
The "To world 3" pipe doesn't work with Mario. Just reset the game, get luigi to go in it then go back to Mario. The overworld auto-saves.

Download link not huge because I'm no attwhore
I remember testing this, and I quite enjoyed it! I'm looking forward to playing this more and seeing what else you've done to it!

Also you really need a Mayo prese - *shot*
Suika Ibuki - 25107
That is a really really really good hack, i love how you usually put in some levels with special gimmicks (which all are cool) and the gameplay changes(i love how i don't need button mash to make the tanooki/cat/whatever luigi fall slower).
Amazing job, i would recommend this hack to anyone.

Wow rude :<

Anyway, from the screens and the two replies up there sounds like it'll be really fun to play.
I'll be sure to give this a shoot soon.
Seeing who's the author + the screenshoots, I had to give this a try right away.

I've played up to world 2. I'm loving the graphics, and I could've expected no less from you to keep it all so fitting; it feels like it's a game on its own. I'm also loving the music, and it really adds up to the athmospheric feeling of many levels (looking at the second world's star).

It could be me, but I feel those first levels are too much on the long and bland side. There's not really too much going on in some of them, and in others I think the gimmick could've been expanded way further (the ON/OFF level). But this seems to be gradually improving as I proceed - I liked the way you handled the gimmicks in the pipe maze level and in the second world's star (again!), second half.

Oh, the first star level was really eye-searing and tough to see on my end. I'm playing this by the day and beside my window, but it's cool to take that possibility in consideration anyway!

Looking forward to finishing going through this sometime, and to seeing you finish this as well. The plot is definitely interesting and it seems to be being executed in a good way. Keep it up!
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?

One of the hacks I'm willing to give support as much as I can to see it finished. The things I mostly love in this hack are the choice of musics that are pretty much fitting with the situations of levels and the extra levels, they're just awesome, mainly
Origin Acropolis
.

Excellent work so far!
This hack is excellent. The level design overall is very pleasant, with a few creative ideas around and some nice consistency without lacking variety. It started fine, but the last worlds of the demo are specially great. The gameplay tweaks help the flow a lot, even if they were a bit confusing at first (the swapped swimming mechanics are a nice example).

Aesthetically it's also very well done, with a nice, rather consistent graphical style and interesting use of a few tilesets. Tileset mixing were actually used well, which is kinda rare outside vanilla hacks. The palettes were also lovely. Excellent soundtrack as well - the songs used both sound good and fit the levels where they are used.

This definitely need more than a few posts - it's shaping up very nicely, and it's already one of the best hacks around to be honest. Great job!
It's got quite more attention than I expected, considering it's just a demo. :O

Btw, just wanted to thank you all for the feedback. I tried to work on an extra for it to post here but I just didn't have enough time so, sorry.

Too bad, but it's already good to see this demo out.

I just played the first two worlds, and I have to say I'm impressed. This hack is great and stays simple.
I really liked the level design in general, which was not too challenging without being boring either. I also noticed clever uses of layer 3, nice.

Well, that's another hack I'm supporting now.
where's the userbar? oh wait you're not an attwhore
I played all the demo, I loved it so far. I liked the fact that even the smallest details were changed here, like the sfx and the stuff you coded for the OW stars. The design is very fun, and the aesthetics are real pleasure for my eyes, they never felt out of place.

I'm sure as hell looking forward the finished product. Keep working on it!
Bug found!!

The "To World 3" pipe doesn't work if you're playing with Mario. I shall try to get it fixed soon as possible.

Edit: Bug fixed. Not gonna post a new ips just because of this though. If you want to play the hack as Mario, just change to Luigi before going into the pipe and change back to Mario right after.
i really love your work, the story is pretty original, a great soundtrack and also a very well made levels and overworld, just a little bug with the warp pipe when you play as mario , and that was the only bug that i found out, also, yoshi's tongue sfx , thats neat! i wonder if in future more hacks like yours will show up,my rate is 9 of 10, keep working and let me know when its finished. peace
2 Updates I've made.

1 is the Marble Zone port that've been a tad fixed

Second is the new title made by Grate

My bad for the frame counter
Im very much enjoying this demo release. GREAT stuff. One thing I really love is the foreground and background use of clouds. Awesome first I seen sumone use clouds in such a way. Also love the spiny I think they called... (cactus things) variants. Also first time I seen a mod version of those. I look forward to more updates

I just LPed this demo, and so far, I'm really liking it. The visuals are great, and the difficulty is REASONABLE. I think I'll be voting for this.

The ONLY lil issue I had with this is the beach gimmick. it was right next to a volcano stage, then its snowing on the beach a stage or 2 later. Kinda seems odd. N for the life of me I cant figure the secret exit on that pipe stage lol.

That's intentional since Mayo was looking for a more original world. #tb{:p}

Might be one of these levels.

2-4:
Follow the reverse order of the pipes you did to get the normal exit of the level. It'll lead you to its secret exit.

3-3:
In the second section of the level wait until the lava lowers and enter the orange pipe one it's uncovered.
Ah reverse. Nice one. Also why is it most the enemies eyes aren't colored white? Is that intentional?
