Find somewhere else to put the flower that's just immediately at the end? Maybe somewhere in the car section? Each of the other morphs is in the same area as a flower.

As for the mildes, space them out a bit differently so that it's easier to prevent the top one from falling on you every time.

...of COURSE! Why didn't I think of that sooner?! I wanted to add more to the car section since all it had was the one red coin, and it never occured to me that all the other transformations had flowers...what a great idea! That leaves nothing but red coins for the Super Star, though... Oh well.

Just finished playing your level, Nimono. While the car and helicopter sections were incredibly annoying to get through because of the bubble plants, this level was still fun overall and has given me ideas for my current level.

However, a few complaints:


This hole is incredibly small. I literally struggled trying to get inside this tiny hole so I could get a red coin. It wouldn't hurt to make it bigger, would it?


These Train Bandits are literally impossible to avoid. Maybe you could tone it down a little?



These cross sections have a weird ending when you're going to the next section. I thought it was a dead end at first. I'm pretty sure you can fix this by scrolling an object to the left or right in Golden Egg. I know the original game did this, but we're better than them.

Anyways, good work overall.

Dealt with the issues FP brought up, hopefully. Please let me know if there's anything else that needs tweaking!

Played through your RC3 version and it is quite a good level.

There are a few minor problems.


Here some part of the background went into the foreground and blocked my path. I guess just tweak the background a bit or alter the tracks.



Here I think it could use another morph bubble. That first bubble plant might take up half of the time already, and then there are 2 more. Also make that right yellow platform 1 tile wider to the left.


Also in the section with the mole morph, I'm not sure what the point of the vertical ! wall is for. Unless we have to climb up with the mole tank but I don't think it can even get the flower. Plus we can just shoot it with an egg.

Finally in the last stretch with baby mario, that red coin fly guy should be 1-2 tiles higher. Also have another red coin fly guy but without a pit below him. It is to show the player that the red coin will fall if you just jump through him before the 2nd one is encountered.

Other than that, the level is pretty great even with these problems.
You actually do have to climb the wall with the mole tank to get the flower. There's a morph block up there.

What. That's never happened before and it doesn't even look like that in GE, or when I play it. Ummmmmm... I'll try to figure it out?

Will do. I just never put one there because I thought it'd be silly if you grabbed it, then did that whole section perfectly. The bubbles are supposed to last, right?

Huh. I thought I put the platform high enough to where you COULDN'T shoot it with an egg. I'll just have to block it off, then~ And yes, the point is to climb up, where you hit a yoshi block and grab the flower upon turning back into Yoshi.

This is 5-1. 1-2 tiles higher I can do, but...why should I still be holding the player's hand on information like that so late in the game? It should be clear by this point that the coin will fall... Still, it IS a bit too tough to grab consistently, so I will raise it up 2 tiles.

Well when I mean that it will fall, I mean that running straight into him won't collect the coin as well. We haven't killed a fly guy with direct contact before in the level so it wasn't obvious we couldn't collect the coin right away when the fly guy dies.

I just don't like that the mechanic is introduced so suddenly with no room for error. If the player doesn't see it coming, they'll just run into it without thinking and be like "shit, time to restart from the middle ring".

Also even though yes you're right there is supposed to be difficulty this late in the game, it is still a level collab. Other designers may not have introduced that mechanic in previous levels so you have to make sure that you do it for yours.

Oh well, maybe I'm too nitpicky about this stuff.
Cool level with great vehicle usage all-around.

Sorry to be so light on feedback but the only technical/functional issue I noticed was:


Throw an arrow in here, can't tell if it's the way to go or death.

Sorry, I'm actually a pretty awful judge, I know you might've wanted more. Just was focusing mostly on "issues" and that's all I really spotted.

Anyone else, feel free to test and comment!

I don't think my current spriteset allows arrows, but I CAN put a coin trail! Dunno why I didn't do that sooner...

I noticed that the loading times in the first and third sections are kinda high, due to them both being in the same level number- should I move the third section to its own number to cut down on load times, or is it fine as it is now?

Also, one person complained that final Fly Guy above the pit during the Super Baby Mario section is tough to get; do you agree that I should change it to be more forgiving, or is it fine as it is since this is World 5 of 6? (Especially since you can go back to the left and respawn it if you miss the coin, IIRC.)

Sorry for not answering sooner, but those 2 questions I'd say they are fine as is.

What's the status on this though? Pretty much good to be inserted? Anyone else have any input/feedback or should I just go ahead?
