Inserting ExGFX [Legacy]

How do I put ExGFX for sprites?
Your layout has been removed.
Just like putting ExGFX for anything else. The graphics for sprites are stored in the same .bin files as the land and stuff.

... I dont know EXGFX so much
Your layout has been removed.
I think in this thread is a tutorial...
And in the documents section is a tut, too.
Where do I find these?

- Map16Page
- Map16PageG
- Original.bin

Nowhere in the tutorial explains where you get these.

The Map16 pages not included with all ExGFX files. Map16 pages are only for FG and BG, not sprites or anything. Also, the original.bin is just the file called ExGFX## (Replace ## with hex numbers).

Hoped I helped you.

If you go to the ExGFX part of the SMW Cenral site, there are FG graphics from "Donkey kong - Bramble Blast". When you download it, it comes with 2 ExGFX files and a palette, but no Map16Page files. Is there a way to still insert these graphics without the map16page files or what should i do?

You just need to put the right graphics in the right place. Do you have the graphics for Birdo?

I'm having a problem. I can import ExGFX, but they're all... jumbled.
Meaning that I can see the tiles, they just overlap, and are mostly in the wrong places. What am I doing wrong?
I haven't been saving the Map16/Map16G pages for any of the hacks (I already had the files, and I didn't think you needed seperate ones for each set of ExGFX). I think that might be the problem, is it?
What should I do about it?
I'm a dirty heathen. Anyone have a Christian baby for me to eat?
Gah... I read the tutorial and everything but when I save my custom BG in YY-CHR and reload it, it turns out like this.

And yes it's on a ExGFX file.
You see the little box that says 4BPP MSX?
Change that to Snes
*face palm* I did do that but it still turns out like that. I guess I should have made the pic with that on the bottom.

This is what it looks like on SNES.

This is what it should look like.

When I save it and reload it turns out like the 1st picture.
Wrong palette.

after i make a folder for the ROM?

Cause I'm a possessed freak.

open your rom in LM, and press the all mushroom buttons, from left to right (Note: only the normal mushrooms, not the poisoned ones)
i got problem with that part

"Now a window comes up with various, garbled tiles. Scroll down with the arrow keys to page 3 and press F3. Click OK and there are your tiles"

I click ok and show something like that "couldn't load a page of map16 data from file!"

Make sure the files Map16Page.bin and Map16PageG.bin are in the same folder as your ROM. If you don't have those files at all, you don't have to insert them. Just add the objects with the Add Objects Window.
