Giant Springboard by Sonikku

File Name: Giant Springboard
Added: 2009-12-26 04:35:03 AM
Authors: Sonikku
Tool: Romi's Spritetool
Type: Standard
Dynamic: No
Disassembly: No
Includes GFX: Yes
Description: This sprite is basically a 32x32 springboard. It isn't carryable, but launches Mario very high. If the Extra Bit is clear, it shoots him normal height like the normal springboard, but if its set, it will make Mario fly upward extremely fast and extremely high.

No credit needed.

Tester's note: Seems to cause a problem with Sprite Tool, but it works nonetheless.

While the sprite more or less works as intended, its interaction is wonky...if you walk into it from the side while small, you go right through the bottom half, but if you try to jump up through it, you can't. I tried changing the acts-like setting to BB, but that didn't work either. I know that this would be the fault of Sonikku's coding, not the update...I'd remove the original giant springboard sprite too if it weren't kind of too late for that, considering it's been in the section since 2009 and we're not remoderating old sprites (yet?). If either of you can fix this interaction bug, please do so and resubmit it.
