Approximately a single month ago, the user K3fka was promoted to a staff member to moderate the ASM sections as well as multiple other relevant affairs, and as far as I know been doing a fairly decent job at doing so. However, I have discovered a new and intriguing development that
has occurred not too long ago. Apparently the aforementioned user in question now moderates (and as implied, "owns") the following forum:
Now, at first inspection this did not appear idiosyncratic at all, moderating forums is one of the main duties staff members have, so it did not bewilder me to see that K3fka has acquired this forum.
...What DID disturb me, however, was the fact that on closer inspection, the forum itself is, to be blunt, rather poorly moderated. View the forum yourself and you'll find that the forum is filled with spam! A large majority of the threads there are obsolete, closed, spammy, or just all-around... not suitable for a supposed-to-be mature community devoted to Super Mario World™ ROM hacking. And that's not to mention the fact that most of the threads are made by banned users, immediately giving it a highly negative impression.
Now, under normal circumstances, my proposal would be to warn the offending moderator to fix the problem and stop being so careless with his/her moderations; However, the problem has gotten to the point where the clean-up of this horrendous forum would take longer than the remoderation of section pertaining to graphics in a format insertable into Super Mario World™, which is especially atrocious considering K3fka is still a relatively new staff member.
My proposition at this point in time would be to permanently demote K3fka and possibly ban him assuming the "longer than the ExGFX remoderation" statement I made above was but a mere underestimation on my part. I deeply apologize, but he has clearly proven that he is not credible enough to moderate a forum, given how badly he "maintained" the one in question.
If the administrators of the site shall choose to refuse to do either of the above, I will leave this site permanently, and I will badmouth this site and its poor maintaining until you change your minds. I will also direct users who wish to be on an actually decently moderated site to other, much more reliable hacking sites, including DevBoard, Ninshack, MandLBoards, btri, Board 2, Kafuka, Evil Daizo Productions, Wikipedia, and more.
What you choose to do in the aftermath of the creation of this topic is your decision, not mine. But I hope you all will be intelligent and pick the wiser of your options.
Good day.
