This may sound off-topic but I think it's relevant enough to be posted here.
I noticed whenever I grab the goal, there's suddenly some dreadful slowdown during the timer/score conversion and it appears to be a result of the SA-1 patch. That is the only patch I've applied so I'm pretty damn certain that's the cause. Is this a known byproduct of SA-1? And if so, is there something I'm overlooking to prevent this? There's absolutely nothing within the level's design that can be causing it. Besides, I've tested the level on a non-SA-1 ROM as well, and there is no slowdown.
Would this be something that can possibly affect judging? Technically, it's outside the parameters of the "playable" level. Otherwise, I can chuck the level onto a non-SA-1 ROM for judging if need be.
Really, just concerned about judging issues here. I'll hit up Vitor about the actual issue at hand though.
