Cool mini challenge (ice level)

I hope this is the best place to post this. Anyway, I came up with a fun little challenge from the original smw game on one of the ice levels.

The rules are to beat the level under the following rules.

1. You may run to gain some speed near the start

2. Once you jump over the spring board you can only press down and jump, nothing else.

3. try and beat the level.

Since I had R and L disabled I tricks to try and get the turtles to spawn sooner an order to be able to bounce off of them.

Also I haven't yet been able to beat the level under the current rules.

This could also be a gimmick that could be used in a hack where all of the buttons are disabled and you have to do a similar thing.

Let me know what you think. :) You can watch me try here.

It was a long time ago, but I remember there was a similar thread where people would post up various challenges to do in the original SMW; for example, clear Valley Fortress without dashing or spinjumping at all. It was a neat idea, but eventually it gets to a point where you really have to grab at straws for interesting challenges.
Besides, there's actually some guy who does these kinds of challenges on SMW already. It would be neat to have specific challenges and achievements for SMW Hacks, on the other hand...

(Successful run at 5:20, in case the link fails to jump there)

Took a few tries, but it's definitely possible. You could have even done it at the 35 second mark in your video if you jumped repeatedly to reduce friction before the goal tape.

Virus, you'll find a way to do most anything in Mario world, won't you?
Honestly, that is pretty darn brilliant. I forgot about jumping at the end an order to slow down to pop off the last koopa.

I still have yet to do it myself.

Eheheh, I do what I can!

You can do it, Final Theory. You were pretty much there once before, you can definitely pull it off again.
