Sometimes I'd like to listen to music and play a retro game at the same time. So I'd like to disable the music, but keep the sounds on. However, with old games that's usually impossible. Then once for a little sprite animation I wanted to record a sound, but the music would go through it. Super Mario World custom music made me wonder. Can't you theoretically edit the roms and replace the music with..nothing? Just a silent sound file? Is that possible?
No music hacks?
That's a cool idea, but unfortunately, I have heard nothing like this before.
