Cat's out of the bag, I used hires textres on Jabo's 1.7..

But this looks just as good, right? RIGHT GUYS? PLS
The texture transition is done with GIMP and mapped textures in sketchup. No vertex transparency needed.


Now on a sidenote, I'm still doing plenty of vertex RGBA stuff.. I'm just quiet sometimes. Fun fact, you can edit RAM in PJ64 1.7

Super Smart on editing the RAM instead of trial and test in a hex editor, good job!
Now for the environments; They look pretty good, seems pretty much like a dark forest.

Hires textures, aka a "texture pack" using Jabo's Direct 1.7.0.57... There's no way I could have split the 1024x1024 into 32x32's XD
And it was actually three textures, the one shown is the gap between the two that took the work. Here's the skp if you want to check it out.

Anways, gonna show off my crappy models, I'm working on a hack with LuigiXHero for C3, we decided the hub will be based off Luigi's circuit from mkwii and it will be about him since we are both luigis.

Otherwise it's a really good idea! Although it may consume alot of polygons. Maybe there's a way to ASM-code shaders into SM64...

Actually is more like a matrioska with two models, one inside the other. The inner one is the actual model with textures, the other is slightly bigger and completely black, but faces are reversed so they dosen't cover the smaller model on the inside.

It's not crappy at all, it looks very good.
It just needs to be tidied up a little.
Almost done with the hub, not spoiling anything again, just showing that it's more polished than before;




I also learned a trick on doing grass slopes as seen in SMG with the Follow-Me tool in sketchup, gonna excessively use it;
Awesome that hub looks sick man. I wonder how my hub will look like hmmm. You'll see maybe later this day.
