Toy Story 4

Toy Story 4 is coming in 2017 according to this article, and others.
I am kinda skeptical about this since the 3rd one had a 'this is it' feel but I am kinda curious about what they could do about
Andy's toys being with a new owner.
I think of the reception of Cars 2 and Brave but at the same time Toy Stories have never disappointed.

I've heard of this movie being announced on the commercials sometime ago and I can say that the first three movies were fine by themselves and had a very good planning at their plot, and with this fourth movie I assume it won't be different, although I'm not sure what could be the reception and if I can watch it whenever it comes out in 2017 (I wonder how
Andy's toys are going to live with their new owner
; hopefully it's not going to turn out terrible).
Windowless ride, feeling alive

Pixar has gone the way of Rare after Toy story III. Cars 2, sucked, Brave didn't do well, MU was a cashgrab. I don't see this going anywhere aside from another cashgrab (Unless Andrew Stanton decides to direct another Wall-E movie, then i'm all over that shit).
I don't like the idea that there is going to be another Toy Story, because I already thought it would be a trilogy, not a quadrilogy (or more in that case). I'm against it. 3 is enough.

Yeah, they're just doing this for more money. I guess since they cant come up with anything else as good.

Agreed. The studios don't have minds that can come up of anything original.

I think Pixar is taking a big risk here. I feel like I will only want to go see it if everybody raves about how good it is and if it somehow gets a Rotten Tomatoes score at least as good as Toy Story 3 or some of the better Pixar movies before that (being careful to avoid spoilers).

I watched them growing up. Then Toy Story 3 came along a few years ago and brought all the nostalgia back which was great. All 3 had that 'Toy Story-ee' feeling to them. I'm sure the 4th will be just fine if they stick to their roots.

Disney just can't seem to leave their own projects alone, can they?

That's the strangest thing though; Disney's own studios are making better animated movies than Pixar has lately; wreck it Ralph and Frozen come to mind as two recent ones that people just loved. Sure they got crap like planes still going on which is also just a massive cash grab on kids but still, their more serious projects have turned out incredibly well.

So is Big Hero 6.

As much as I'd love to see a fourth movie, I don't really know where they could still be going with this, the toys have pretty much been given away to a little girl.

However, videogame developers tend to do this for their games, perhaps Disney could have the fourth movie include all the elements from all three previous movies and have several characters and toys come back.

It would be nice to see something like that happen.
I am not really against it since they could use a new toy owner as potential to do things they couldn't fit under Andy's character, house, neighborhood, and lifestyle. I am not going to be pessimistic until I see some trailers. I hope they don't try to throw in a scene like the climax of Toy Story 3 because that was disturbing as hell, and it wouldn't really work a second time.

Just look above you...
If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!
I thought that Toy Story 3 wrapped up the story quite nicely, so I don't really think it's necessary to do another movie. That being said, just because it's not needed doesn't mean it's automatically bad. We'll have to see, like Cou said, when a trailer comes out.
Watched all three, it's a good trilogy. The third one specially was pretty shocking with gazillions of new characters and a completely new plot and environment. I'm not sure how they'd manage to make it even better for another sequel, but all we can do now is wait.

It was a pretty unexpected announcement, but then again, I don't think people also expected the third one after what, an ~10 years hiatus?
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?
I can't over come the feeling that the 4th movie should never be made. Er in progress of making. The 3rd movie had a beautiful ending and it should just be left alone. A 4th movie might just ruin the entire concept.
It's coming out 2017 which is the earliest I would say is acceptable. The difference between 1 and 2 is four years while 2 and 3 is eleven so that seven year time gap is a good time difference between them.

At least it's not like Shrek that kept pumping movies out at the speed of light.
I thought they said Toy Story 3 was supposed to be the final curtain call for the story.

You're telling me I cried and felt feels for nothing?!
