He is right. There is no use for it. I was hoping a level based on those on/off switches, but they are completely useless. Maybe you can use that gimmick for yoshi coins or secrets?
The ON/OFF block can be used for line guides instead if the mushroom idea won't work well.

I like how it looks so far. It's going to be a fun hack!

I suggest the theme to be a Green Hill Zone Look-a-like area. It just sounds nice and I'd like to see what you do.

Sad to see you didn't get any feedback for your most recent screenshots. I'm loving the aesthetics of the level. The only criticism I have is that Birdo looks like he was just in a car accident. I think you may have done the palette incorrectly.
Your screenshots are looking pretty good so far and i like the palettes from your recent screenshots.
And like K3fka said the birdo looks pretty weird maybe change the palettes so it will fit more in the level.
Other then that it looks pretty good so far keep it up.

Fun Fact: This Level was suppose to be in Level One in my previous hack, Mario World Saga.(ALMOST the same name)The difference is it is a Yellow Switch Level and there is less decoration.

World 1-5 Mouser's Sandcastle

First Segment



The crack on the floor is an indicator for falling thowmps.

Second Segment Layer 2



You must travel with a boat. The purple water will kill you.

BOSS BATTLE



Spoilers Alert: It is Mouser

PROBLEM: There is something wrong in the Mouser Battle, see even he's there and the "play cut-scene when no sprites on screen" sprite. For some reason the level ended with a cut-scene. That's why I put a green koopa somewhere. But even that, if the green koopa goes out the screen the battle will be ended.

So I need the Mouser to die in order to end the level

I really like your pallets m8. They look so crisp.
Nice level and aesthetics. Like said, I think the dark blue in the BG water is slightly too dark, though the saturation in the blue-ish and the purple one looks fine.
World 2-1 Dusky Deserts



Yeah...I change the theme of World 2. Instead of Grassland Villa I make Hot Deserts World/Wild West World.
This level is where it introduce bombshell koopas, sniffit, hammer brothers and the timed lift gimmick

World 3-? Bullet Bill Heaven/Rainbow Mushrooms



Yes this level has two names.
Bullet Bill Heaven - is a play word of Bullet Hell .
Rainbow Shrooms - The color of the Mushroom Tops are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Violet (Sorry no Indigo)

As you can see this level is kinda familar of Vanilla Dome 4. It’s not a remake, it’s like a reference of that said level.

This level seems hard for a World 3(Underground Valley) but this level is before the Castle.

This looks nice overall; but I think it may be a bit confusing. Using foreground tiles on the background mostly isn't a good idea, so I suggest you to remove them. Still up to you, though.
