Random level generator v1.0

Link Thread Closed
Thanks for demo. Played trough all the levels and found a pair of issues, not related to layer 2:
1. Some pipes are two-colored. Left half has one palette and right has another.
2. Goal posts are missing in all levels, leaving the goal tape floating in midair.
This is some great stuff. Never seen this kinda of tool before. With things like this, it can be great for mini games.. like beat a randomized level in certain amounts of time. Many possibilities with this tool. Hope to see more features added
I don't get what this tool supposed to do. Had he explain it on page 1 I would, but I guess that's too much to ask.

I also don't get what I'm looking for in the demo either. All I see is sloppily designed levels.
All you see is randomly designed levels.
By the program.
Your layout has been removed.
"randomly designed levels"?

Ewwww. Gross.

What else did you expect from a thread titled "Random level generator v1.0"?

Is there a max amount of level the generator can take up?
No it is currently hard coded but with a simple switch in the GUI added you could shrink or extend the level.
Wow - I must say, this is extremely amazing! Great job. I really love those levels. With a few minor edits, (and with a new overworld) I'm sure this would be accepted. It may not be DA GREATEST HACK EVUR 2016!!!111! but hey, I found it lovely. Now, all we need is a "random overworld generator".

So anyways.. even though this is great, it feels like the same screens and same enemies copied and pasted many times over with a tiny change. I know, I shouldn't expect perfect levels from a random generator, but hey, it would have been nice.
Does anyone still have intrest in this because i will start working on it again if people do.

And has anyone used it.
I really do. I really want to see this continue. Please don't give up! :<

Also, I used it a few times, the result was pretty nice. I added some exgfx and made minor changes and it was a great level.
Need some ideas for new scripts.
No don't stop on this, please start working on it again. It's such an awesome idea and I would love to use this for my hack.

I don't think you should stop. This idea has so much potential and a lot could be done with it if you continue this. And I know some people have a hard time designing levels, maybe they could get some ideas/inspiration from this? Anyways, good luck on this in the future!

I just hope people don't make levels and put it in their hacks..

Why,thats the point of this.
It is meant to have little custom scripts to customize the level not just plain as it is now.
A good use would be to generate a level and use that as a base to build a more personalized level out of.
Yeah tomorrow I will try this, iam excited to what kind of base levels ill get

Exactly, sometimes you have some ideas for a level, but the idea only works for like 4 or 5 screens. With this, you can basically get a little helper for designing the rest of the level.

(If I got this right, if not sorry)
