This is mostly possible - only difference is, you have no ADSR command which SMW has, and you need to convert any used commands (and instruments) to YI's. After that, it should work.

Alright, thanks for the confirmation. I now have music that almost sounds like 9/10 of the Turbo Tunnel song if you're deaf in three of your ears, which is about as much as I could hope for, really.
I just added a message block in the last room before the boss room b/c I was afraid players might get confused or stuck. I don't want to spoil it, but I hope people like my level even though I couldn't use the New Super Mario Bros. music from the Nintendo DS version when you're in the big castle. I tested everything and made sure you could get 100%. However, the boss room might be kind of hard. I edited it a little bit.

Edit: Don't forget to rename the ROM the same as the .SRM file for it to work. I tested it in SNES9x v1.53, and everything seems to be working fine. However, I did not test it in SZNES, but I hope everything works fine. I think TLMB mentioned the judges are going to be playing the entries on an actual SNES. It would be fun to see the entries on a cartridge or at least in a ROM, but I thinm Raocow and someone else were going to be playing the levels and making videos of them.
So I just noticed a possible softlock when hitting the goal ring in Goom and my contest entry. I had moved it at the last minute for cosmetic purposes. Apparently the one time I tested it I must've gotten really lucky to not hit any of the positions that make it softlock.

I just had to move one some blocks one tile to the left to fix it. If anyone wants the fixed version, it's here:

Hello, I was just wondering if the message in the last room before the boss room worked in my level b/c I was afraid people wouldn't be able to figure it out. It scrolls really fast though, and I couldn't fix it. I hope the judges aren't really overcritical, but maybe I'll post a video later on.

I know. I thought there would be a few more, and last year, he extended it, and there were 11.
Here is a video of my level to show that it's possible to get 100%. Do NOT watch if you want it to be a surprise. I know I died a lot of times, but it was late in the night so I was tired while I was playing it, but I hope you like it.

I play better than you on your own game. well, as you said, it was late at night. Hope you actually get somewhere on this project!

You should have helped me make a level or made your own level and entered. There were only nine entries. Last year, there were eleven.

Edit: You should do a Let's Play Kamek's Revenge w/the commentary, but I heard Raocow was going to do some of all of the entries.

I could, but remember, I'm was still trying to catch-up with Golden Egg. I was trying to serve as the idea resource and beta tester.
Are they almost done w/the judging? Just curious. B/c I want to see if Raocow is going to make videos of the levels.
Pretty sure we're just waiting on TLMB. I know for a fact one of the other judges has finished already.

I checked on Talkhaus, and I think Raocow is doing them as well as someone else, but I don't know who the other person is.
Does anyone know who the other judge is and how many judges are there or they won't say until the results come out? I'm still waiting, but I don't think I have a chance of winning. I hope I did well though.

I'm going to assume there are 4 judges + some from Talkhaus as well.
There's three judges. TLMB was one of them, but he's going on one of his usual "vanish for three months" streaks .. probably not the best time to do it.

I'm going to try and get in touch with the remaining judges so we can get their results posted at least.
I have a feeling I might have put creativity over fun factor yet again even tho I've been trying to break that habit with contest entries, so I don't expect to do as well as the previous YI contest.
