Update:

The level is nearly complete. I only need to make something for star #5.




Very beautiful level concept and design. I like the hole in the clouds that lets you see the island below it.
Some improvement could be to add some variation to the bricks, to make them look less gray.
Though it's in the sky, the platforms and structure give a familiar resemblance to Bowser's Star Reactor. Very charming, nevertheless I'd say. #smw{:TUP:}

Alright, it's time I spill some beans and pasta to y'all.

I feel like telling everyone what I am planning so here's a simple put together list of what I am going to do.


1. I am going to leave the cloud level as it is right now so I can focus on the other stages more.
2. I am planning to update the older stages to meet my current standards, I am also giving stage 1 and 2 a better design so it isn't as halfassed as it is right now.
3. A new secret level is gonna be made. It has 3 to 5 trains which you need to walk and parkour on to reach a star. Of course this is going to be in a special level setting.
4. The hub is going to be re-designed to fit the current themes better and to make it less laggy like it is atm, which bugs the hell out of me.

Now that y'all know this. I'll now post a new list of all the level names. (I'll update the first post too after this)

Area 1: Millo Beach
Area 2: That Tiny Mushroom
Area 3: Cloudy Paradise
Area 4: The Dim Forest
Area 5: Pipe Canyon
Area 6: The Tanzanite Caves
Area 7: The Pipe Tower

This is about everything I wanted to share.
I still need to think of 2 more secret level themes so there's still some suprise left. c:

but....but....pipes were my theme D':
lol just kidding man. Nice level names. Only thing I don't like is that a course is called That Tiny Mushroom. Why not Mushroom Heights, or Mushroom village? That tiny mushroom sounds very weird, not something an entire course would be named. It sounds ore or less like a singular level.

It has to do with the location of the level. If you read posts from the first page you'll get why I called the area like that.

Looking forward to seeing how a haunted house scenario will look like, but that wasn't included in SMS.

I think I'll leave a haunted place for a sequel or something. I did give it thought but it doesn't fit the island very well.

Well, there was the hotel in Sirena Beach, which was full of boos, weird ghost puzzles, and those eerie manta ray shadows based on The Shining's last paragraphs...

It didn't look too haunted or dark, like Luigi's Mansion or Boo's haunted mansion.
Just like having 24 courses in a game called "Super Mario 64" I get your point now #ab{:P}.
I am working on millo beach. I am using some old level files I found before I started this hack and use them to upgrade this level. I will do this maybe in other levels too.

Yeah that's a good idea. I also try to recreate some of my older models and try to remastered them. But very impressive by now, I would like to see it when it has been remodeled!
A quick status update: I am not dead. Half of this sub-forum may know this already, but I want to mention it anyways. I am doing many other things right now and of course school is in the way too. (I should make a tumblr and use it as a blog). This project is on a halt, but I will work on it as soon as I have time for it and if I am bored with what I am doing right now.

For those wondering: "What in the world are you doing then?" I am currently working on sprites and practice making music with FLstudio. I am trying to make a tiny soundtrack using the earthbound soundfont. If you are interested, I put a link down below to one of the songs.

I am making sprites for a future project that depending on the circumstances, I will probably begin working on in 2/3/4 years. This project is an Earthbound fangame, which, if I do this project alone, I will make an engine, sound, graphics and dialouge all by myself. I'll post some pics down below too + the font I used to write the letters with.

If there are any questions, feel free to ask them!

Hola amigos, ich habe nieuwe afbeeldingen for ya'll!

It came to be that I neglected the first stage long enough that everything I did before has been reversed. Also I didn't texture some stuff and discovered some glitchy things next to the mountain. Easy fix. At any rate:



texture scales look too small(im not talking about the glitched up stuff) and the wood construction in the background looks pretty unstable.
I now have the issue that certain exported textures do not get their texture map exported. This might delay the next update a bit till I fix it.


I feel like re-doing the first level. As it was made for the exporter plugin to work. It's a bit too messy and bad to fix. Is it a good idea for me to make a new millo beach?



So here's an early look at it. I can also use this as hub. It's a bit smaller in comparison but it's going to be a lot better and playable than the last one.

Also I tried new walls and grass and sand. Like it?
