General Bugs and TODO list [Updated 6-25] (Please report all bugs here; General and Level specific)

Sideshow Showdown:

Win a trip to the Muncher Pit and you get this message. Fix it please.

Huh? No message to say I passed the Palace?

...Yeah.

Opulent Oasis: Getting the Super-Secret exit to W9 doesn't lead Mario up, it leads him to the right. The event works correctly, however.

...What the fuck. #smw{¬_¬}

SERIOUSLY, WHY MUST EVERY POPULAR SMW HACK HAVE TO INVOLVE ANIME IN THEM?!
Just so you know, I'm very active on the site anymore like I was before; I'm mainly on Discord now.

It's not Japanese, it's "I Love Beijing Tiananmen" from bootleg game Hong Kong 97.

Wait, I thought ports weren't allowed in this project.

It's filler music for when actual music is supposed to play. It's there to signify that there's something wrong with the music. It wasn't supposed to play there, that's why it was so out of place.

I clicked that link in hope for Hong Kong 97 comments.

Also, the hub level needs its own background image. NO SKODA SUCKS.

I should have something witty to put here (even if it's just to update dated info), shouldn't I?

We know.

Oh, so it's supposed to play the "Level Beaten" theme? (AKA "One Step Forward")

Also, when IS that music supposed to play? Or is it there for no reason?

Nope.

One Step Forward will play when a level's beaten.

I was playing the latest base for SMWCP2 (the jukebox update) and I noticed something.

Before, I kept frequently getting this glitch where the game thinks I have all the SMWC coins in certain levels. But now, that never happens to me anymore. Was this bug fixed and I missed the announcement, or was I just getting very lucky every time?

Another known bug.

Yeah, I knew it was known, but it almost seems to be.....fixed?

That was the main point of my post. I already asked about the bug itself in #SMWCP.

Yay, Yoshi can walk on fire.

No idea if it was intentional or not, but it does look weird, as Yoshi can walk on fire. This can be easily fixed by changing their "muncher act like" into a normal hurt block.

EDIT: Oh, and here's a screen of the Yoshi Blocks glitch.

I had a Yoshi there, but when I threw that P-switch into these blocks, they all turned into 1-UP's and Yoshi disappeared (look at the puff of smoke behind Mario)

Sorry for such huge screens, for some reason I can't take screenshots in ZSNES/ZMZ.
There is a major WTF bug in Briar Mire. When entering the third section (level 47 in LM), the jukebox ASM code activates. Mario disappears, and the controls for the jukebox start to work and you cannot complete the level nor can you exit it. Also, if you press start, it sends you through a pipe where you find a SMWC coin. Mario appears and the controls work normally. When you enter the pipe again, the bug starts to appear again.

Hope this helps! #smw{:TUP:}
IIRC that was already known (albeit never posted), and was just caused because the Jukebox sprite was in that level for some reason, but thanks for reporting anyway.

Playing through the latest base....

I noticed two things I found a little odd.

1. When i entered the "hub", I went to the JukeBox, played around with it a little while, and then when I went to exit the house in the hub, i was suddenly taken to some other level, rather than the hub itself. IIRC it was some kind of red fire level?

2. I can pass through the overworld even when I haven't beaten the levels. I have a feeling this is normal though. It would be easy to test out the levels if you didn't have to play throught them every time. Correct?

First one is known. The hub still needs a few things anyway (including fixed exits) before it can be considered finished.

Second one: see if you can figure out that thrilling mystery on your own.

If you really want to know why it's there.

Not trying to sound rude or anything, but did you not see the thing I said about how I already had a feeling that it was done purposely and knew exactly how it was there? SNN answered my main question already anyway, so there wasn't really anything needed to be said to be honest, but thanks anyways. :)
