The SMWC Mensa Questionaire(PRIZE AVALIABLE)

Lateral thinking was hard enough.

Now, we go to where lateral, and logic, are combined.

There will only be one round, with 10 Mensa-approved questions. (Note: Mensa questions give ME a headache. This will stump you)

Simple format: Whomever answers first CORRECTLY gets the point.

By question 10, the user with the most points wins:

"Robert Kiyosaki: Rich Dad, Poor Dad" (Financial E-Book)

If there is a tie (Whether 2 people or 200 people), tiebreaker question will be asked. First one to get it wins the prize.

Scores will be posted on this first post. Check periodically.

Ready, GO!

Meh. I could care less about the solution (Proof...that word pissed me off in math class)

Keep at it folks.

No seriously. Is this one of those 'show your work' things? :x
Well, either way, I seem to have come up with an answer of x=30°. It's probably wrong though as I haven't mathed in a while.

I have been pretty sure it's 30 degrees for a while now, but I can't make a solid proof of it. Bugs me... If you wanted to figure that out you could just draw it in correct scales and measure x.

Edit
Here's lots of angles:

I don't think it functions as proof, as it's not entirely logical.

- As you can see, the first I did was to find the 70 degree angle in the AE and BD crosspoint (180 - 60 - 50 = 70), and then the 110 degree angle next to it (line is 180 - 70 = 110).
- The corresponding angles of the 70 and 110 degree angles make me easily find ADB (50) and BED (40) angles.
- Drawing a parallell line to BD (red) I can tell that the 110 degree angle has an alternate interior angle further up, though it's marked wrongly in this picture (supposed to cross the ED line).
- Angle CED is corresponding with angle DBE (30).
- Now, the rest doesn't really make sense, but adds up well. ;p

Other stuff is just remaiders of my brainstorming.

For me, I didn't split a triangle... In fact, I can't even remember exactly how I did it. I think I might have subconsciously went trial-and-error puzzle piece style after I figured out the high angled ACE/BDC, and it just clicked. But I know it has to do with the angles at D...

WAIT A MINUTE!!!

..Pukachi got it first. Like I said, I could care less for the proof.

Sorry Highwind. My eye caught that one well.

Well, on to #5 then.

Aww, you shouldn't post math questions then. ;p

Edit
Also, I never meant to 'steal' Pukachi answer if that's what you meant with your eye catching it. As you can see, I quoted her answer in my post.
// Highwind II
Alrighty, math questions will be limited.

Of course you provided proof, Highwind. Good stuff. But, in this questionaire, and in life, the spoils go to the quickest person, regardless of how they get there. Results matter, not how you got there.

So, it seems now more are taking shots. Orbis (Oxygen), got it, and now there's a 3 way.

An everyday question, a tricky answer

Why is it that, in general, the hair on a man's head goes grey before the hair in his mustache does?

Note: This is NOT a lateral thinking question. Use of logic recommended.
The hair on his head has been there about 10 years longer than the moustache, I guess. I really doubt that's how it really works in practice even so.

Regarding mathematics and advanced science, results are nothing but mere theory and speculation with no proof. Sure, in a guessing game or TV show proof won't normally matter, but an answer is nothing without proof.
