Steam: controversialbread
@ B00tieWarrior: I am honestly impressed with your creativity of using the original SMW OW tiles and making it look good with a proper level layout to boot (people might not be a fan of the grid-placed levels but who cares, Nintendo did that in most of the Mario games). If I were to make a change, it'd be the protruding rock formations on the two smaller planets, as they are y-flipped clones. I like the idea of them, but if you can, try to make them a differ in a way.

@ Sleepy: It looks normal, I guess. Nothing bad, just grassland.
I wonder what a HFD opcode would do in ASM...
@Sleepy: It looks....okay. Not bad, but not really good. For me is this green in the grass to dark (you see it in this bush in the dirt.) And it looks a little bit like Copy-Paste Level. But keep work on it.

Well, it's time for me to post something new:

(Warning, big Picture!)

What do you think about it?

I'm going to change the rock formation on the second planet. It kinda looks derpy to me.
I suddenly became motivated again to work on my hack and basically all I did was whip up this incomplete tileset:

featuring geometric shapes submerged in the ground. I was going to give them outlines like everything else but I think it just looks better even if it's relatively inconsistent with the rest. idc so whatever.
@Kenny2412 - I'm not too sure of the ground tileset you used, it looks bland in comparison to the custom background tiles, and the Tails_155 style land decorations aren't saving it. Other than that I do think the background is a bit empty, and that the oddly bright white dots in the bush graphics look strange. Level design wise it's very vacant but I assume you haven't gotten to placing enemies yet, judging from it's incompleteness.
It is nice to see you working on other tilesets Wuthering though it does seem to slightly differ in style from your earlier tilesets. Maybe it is just my memory though; the tileset looks good so far for now (I guess I will expand in the final version of it).
Dayum, that looks really nice, I love your style, it's got charm to it, also not giving the objects in the dirt outlines was the right choice (unless they were supposed to stand out).
However, that sphere thing is bothering me because it doesn't look round at all (yy-chr's circle drawing tool is to blame). I took the liberty to edit it so you can see the difference:

As you can see, the top image (my edit) does look actually round thanks to the added pixels on the edges, the improved lighting and the anti-aliasing (though I might have gone overboard with it).
On the bottom image (your graphics) the borders are too angular, which makes it look like a polyhedron instead of a sphere (because it ends up having sides and edges and stuff).
I hope I was clear...

Keep up the good work #smw{:TUP:}

I think you did just fine with your suggestion/criticism. Sometimes it hurts. Wuthering, you got good graphics skills, but also be sure to take other peoples' advice. You'll see better results with anything you do if you listen. #w{=D}

And Magi, yes, you were dear. That looks a lot better too. I don't think the Anti-Aliasing is overboard at all.

Ah, thank you for that. I was struggling getting them to look round and your's looks great.

Also while I'm still here, I thought the ground design and pattern was quite lazily designed and ugly in retrospect, so I decided to redo it:

yay or nay?

Not bad overall, but I think that the Mario 3-style pipe is a bit out-of-place, especially considering its comparatively dull coloration.
I really need a layout. :<

It looks quite much better than the other one. But hey! That tileset of yours is really a thing!
I would be leaning more towards to yay due to how polished the tileset is. I am not sure about how I feel for the large sphere but it isn't a big deal for me either. Great job!

I know that it still is short, but for now, I'd like some feedback about the idea, and palettes.

I thought I'd try my hand at level design. So far, as anything I do, boring :S

A new level I’m working on for the TCCR collab:

Seems ordinary, wait did a turn block just launch out of that cannon?

This place isn’t so ordinary after all. Beware of turn block thwomps.

Uh oh they come from the left and right too!

hey man, it looks like fun. did you draw new transparent-looking tiles for the lava, or use a legitimate transparent effect? because it looks neat!
@MoosieHD Not only does the level look fun, but your OW, from the glimpse we get, is looking good! Anyway, I actually really liked your level. My only nitpick is an aesthetic one. The palette seems a little murky. What I mean is there is hardly any contrast among similar colors. For example, the background's palette has a lot of (dark) greens in it, which is fine for sure, but the different hues lack definition among each other. Also, there is barely an outline on the mushroom stalks, it'd really compliment the who scene if there was a darker outline! I'd suggest you play around with it a little more, but only if you actually want to! As a whole, the level really does look great, and I'm not just saying that to make up for my suggestion. It has a great mood and atmosphere, with out over-doing it. Keep it up! Your work is seeming very promising #w{=)}

@Aqumentus cool stuff! I wish there was more going on with decoration or something, but your concept is really neat!

Holy shit, is that Layer 3?
If so, how did you get the transparent effect?
