Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS

There should be 10 more characters than SSBB has. Pacman will definitely not be there.

You base that on nothing, while there are solid reasons as to why it's certainly possible for pacman to be in the game. For example, the game is being co-developed by Namco, and Nintendo has had a long history of Mario+Pacman arcade racing games.

Personally I would love to see pacman in there. Though at this point in the game, he's probably going to be a hidden unlockible character if anything

Am I the only one who:

1) Doesn't want Pacman
2) Doesn't see why anyone would want him in Smash?

eh, it doesn't matter to me either way if he's in it or not; i'm going out of my way to play as him, i'm just saying that guy is saying shit based on absolutely nothing

I should have something witty to put here (even if it's just to update dated info), shouldn't I?

No, you are not. I am not one of those people.

No you are not, but it would be easy to understand if you looked further into it.

It wouldnt hurt to have Pac Man in the game. It would be kinda silly, though.
Pac-Man isn't personally who I'd like to represent Namco (Bandai Namco), they've got plenty of Tekken or SoulCalibur characters they could use, but it's the most likely Namco representative to appear. I won't mind if he's added, but it would be nice to have one of Namco's actual fighting characters appear.
I am just having trouble discerning what Pacman's moveset could possibly be. Since he can literally only attack when we has eaten a super pellet (which would probably end up being his final smash), its hard to see what else he could do.

I don't think he is the best representative for Namco, but I don't think any character that already appears in a fighter should appear either. I would much rather see someone like Klonoa. He is from a Namco game, is a beloved character, has a good selection of possible moves, is from a classic and slightly obscure game, he wouldn't be expected, he has Pac Man on his fucking hat. Seems ideal to me.

In the gamecube games, pacman was given arms and legs. So he could punch and kick people. Probably headbutt too. And he could do the jigglypuff roll attack. It wouldn't surprise me if he spit dots at people? Probably his final smash would turn everyone else into a ghost and they would die as soon as you touch them.
Yeah I played the one of the gamecube games, still seems super basic. Punches and kicks? 80 percent of the other characters already do that. What's the fun in that other than the novelty of playing as Pacman?

Its very clear they want to make each character feel unique, probably why they haven't announced Ganon yet, because they want to make him a lot different than just being a slow Captain Falcon. With just punches, kicks, headbutts, a projectile attack.. Pacman just sounds boring and plainly not fun.
What would Pacman do anyways? Bite your leg off? Instead of Pacman, why wouldn't nintendo put another character from Sonic or Mega Man universe. Like Zero or Proto Man, like Tails or Knuckles. Also, they must have Mr. Game and Watch and Snake.

Now a new topic:
Will there actually be an adventure mode like Subspace Emmisary? That would be awesome. Who knows, maybe they will put the adventure mode.

For two reasons, 1) Because third party series probably won't get more than one representative character per series (licensing, overrepresentation of third party while underrepresentation of first party, etc) . 2) Because with some minor differences aside (shield, hovering, gliding) they would play super similar to Mega Man and Sonic.

Also Game and Watch might be announced but as for Snake, thats not up to Nintendo.

No. Nothing like Subspace Emissary will be included as far as we know. It is said because they didn't like how the cutscenes were all just put on the internet, as well as complaints about repetitiveness and blandness of SE. Plus SE got the game delayed a lot, with a lot more production hours going into it than the fighting part, which led to more complaints.

We might see a single player gamemode like in Smash 64 and Melee, but we won't be getting a story mode of any fashion.
Well, the cutscenes don't matter. The gameplay in Subspace Emissary is awesome. The Adventure mode in Melee and Bros. isn't that fun as Subspace Emissary. And that would make unlocking characters too easy.

I don't know about Game and Watch and Snake, but they might be there. THERE MUST BE META KNIGHT! If Meta Knight isn't there, that's just lame.

This is like...one of the first people ever to say that they liked Subspace Emissary, more so that he likes it over Adventure mode.
What.
Adventure Mode fucking sucked.
Only reason I played it a million times was because there was nothing else to do in Melee when my siblings weren't home/down to play.

I actually liked Subspace Emissary to. Not going to hurt too much from not having it again but yeah. It was pretty fun.

Have you ever played Kirby Super Star? It's basically the same thing. I didn't actually play it myself until sometime after I played brawl but I was pretty disappointed to see SSE used so much elements from that game. That's Sakurai for you, I guess? Overall, I thought SSE was OK.

Also, I didn't like how easy it made it to unlock all the characters. In Melee, it was always one hell of a job to unlock Mewtwo. I say always because my save got erased a bunch by my young nephews, so I did it lots of times, and it was satisfying every time. In SSE you don't really have to work for it at all, not even for the hidden characters like Jigglypuff and Wolf. Just waltz right back in to SSE and do a single battle.
Also, if Metaknight returns he will be nerfed to hell.
Sakurai can't possibly have missed him being OP as fuck, what with them actually doing a lot for the competitive scene this time around (For Glory and removing Pit's glide come to mind).
