Which is better? Cats, Dogs, or Both?

In my opinion, both.
I would say both, since I actually have three dogs and one cat in my house (and two birds, but I kind of hate them); HOWEVER, I'm more of a cat person myself.

This layout good as my stories is made by Kagami
I prefer cats because dogs tend to get a little too hyperactive and it makes me kinda uneasy while cats usually stay still more. Dogs also sometimes get noisy when someone unfamiliar is nearby.
Also, cats are cuter IMO.

You just summed up my thoughts pretty dang well.
I prefer birds.

Cats or dogs, I'd go with dogs. Cats are too indifferent, too "I don't care". Dogs are happier and play with us much more.
I'd go with cats. They don't make much noise than dogs, and make me feel better with their fondling on the most difficult time; I like dogs too because they are playful, but their constant noise can get annoying sometimes.

Yes. Yes they are.
I really need a layout. :<
Anyway, my sister's cat, Ms. Kitty, had babies 3 days ago. I'm so glad. Plus I got a black and white dog(no it's not a Dalmatian!) named Jake. He's very energetic. #smw{^_^}
Not that I've ever had cats, but my grandma does and she does have a lot of them. I dunno, cats are so... Lazy. Dogs are better if you want a pet to play with. The only bad side is that they're sometimes too noisy when you don't want them to be.
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?
You can probably guess what I think.

If you are looking for a pet that you can play and interact a lot with, take a dog. As for cats, they can be sometimes playful, and also they are very cute. In my opinion, I would say a dog because I always like to play with someone/something, and to have a loyal companion.

I don't like cats. I prefer dogs, but they also are too much agitated. So, dogs.

But I would like to trade a dog for a spider :3
It might just be that I've had a bad experience with dogs,
but I don't really like owning a dog because (It might just be mine)
my dog is ALWAYS barking and growling at everything imaginable. #ab{:(}
On the other hand we have my cats who are nice and quiet(except when they want food)
and sometimes they are in really cute or funny poses
(yesterday one of my cats had his body on one step,
his tail on another and his feet on another)

tl;dr I'm more of a cat person.

birds are fun, especially clay ones

I like cats more. In my experience, they're a lot more laid-back and they're not very clingy. They're also cute and I like the purr they make when you pet them. I like how they brush their heads and bodies up against things too. I also love when they curl up in the bathroom sink. They're also clean animals. Every cat I had was soft, whereas a lot of dogs feel... kind of wirey or coarse. Not sure how to explain it.

Dogs are noisy but that in and of itself is very offputting for me. I live with two of them and one of them whines horribly loud for nearly a half an hour whenever one of my parents leave, and then he freaks the hell out when they come home. My other dog is basically my dad's "girlfriend" (seriously he can't effing spend one minute of the day without this longdog) and he takes her driving everywhere, sometimes creating a distraction... which really, really irritates me.

Just look above you...

I like cats more. They are cute and also I really like the nature of them and how clean they are. Dogs seem to annoy me (I don't actually have a problem with them but they are not my taste).
Pretty much what Counterfeit said applies for me as well. While I like both, cats are cuter and more quiet than dogs, so I'd go with the former. I don't really mind dogs, but they annoy me in prticular when they bark and whine loudly. My cousin has a dog, and when I go at his house, his dog always barks at me for a good quarter an hour.
I like cats because they're just sort of there and not requiring constant attention from you. (and even when they're particularly playful the most they'll do is play with your ankles).
They're so different from each other in their personalities, I can't decide one over the other. iBeare pretty much summed up my reasoning behind this.
In most cases? Cats.

But my dog beats all the cats ever.

I like how quiet and cuddly cats are. Dogs are often loud and too energetic and require constant attention.

...But my dog is not like that. She does anything we ask her (except coffee) and doesn't do what we tell her not to (like barking) She's very smart, very cute and children-friendly since she was raised in a kindergarten.

She needs a hell lot of attention though, but as she's getting older she's less hyperactive. It's kind of frightening...
I like both but i kind of like cats a little better than dogs.
