Note for Kaizo hack submissions

Kaizo

Just to make moderation of Kaizo hacks easier (and to maybe take a step forward in accepting pit hacks) you are encouraged (not required) to include smv files along with the IPS. That way, if there is a part that takes an extremely long time and is really irritating, or if I screw up my saves so that I have to restart the level or there is a guide dang it moment and there is no video of said level I can check for reference, then I can just play the smv file.

I have a few questions regardless this side-rule:
1) What happens if the SMV goes out of sync?
2) Will you remove the SMV file afterwards to prevent cheating?

I understand why it helps, though. Kaizo Hacks are, in a totally no duh moment, very hard and sometimes frustrating.

So does this mean that .zmv files aren't going to be accepted or they will? Because I don't along very well with Snes9x and everytime, I repeat everytime I record with Snes9x the video desyncs no matter if it's a TAS or a very short level preview and with Znes, I've never had any of my videos screwed.
1) I don't think that will be a removal reason, even a 'by the way' removal reason, but it would look unprofessional and it might take a little longer depending on the difficulty.
2) Unless the creator wants the .smv to be in with their submission for whatever reason, I think yes, they will be removed.

Macky are you using snes9x-rr or the regular snes9x?

The regular Snes9x, why? Is it bad? I know there's newer versions of it, but I'd rather stick with this version.

The standard Snes9x works fine for playing games normally, but snes9x-rr is the rerecording version that's made specifically for tool-assisted purposes. It's not much different from the default Snes9x (and adds a lot of better features, as well), so I recommend trying that instead. Input movies will also almost never desync on it.

I think it's great idea, but the .smv must be the recording of whole game, or can it be just record of one level?

You can probably get away with just recording one level.

Or if you mean recording one level at a time, then I don't see why you wouldn't be allowed to do that either.
