Yay for post-deadline re-testing?

Overall looks solid. Pretty much every issue I had before was addressed, minus the slowdown... I guess you're just gonna have to live with it and hope it doesn't impact your score too much. It was all addreesed in pretty good ways too that didn't feel like band-aids. I originally pictured the fix to the yellow koopa being just make a shell-less green enter the yellow shell, but what you did works too.

@Koopster: It should have been obvious that the white-yellow clouds are the only ones you can stand on, and the darker blue ones are just decoration.
I honestly think the palletes could use a little work, but the level design is great
Yes, I agree with SuperAgentYoshi about the palettes here since they can be a little more worked up since I'm not really a fan, to be honest.

Talking about level design wise, it's looking great. I like the change of the normal forest-like level, to the inside of a volcano and it's pretty nice actually.

For now, I believe that's all I really have to say and good-luck.

e: I can't believe that I had to edit this post too many times thanks to typos in my phone! But I believe that I've fixed them.

Elaborating would be a good thing, you know.

I personally felt the palettes were fine.

It's designers choice what choice of color scheme they use. I just don't get this phobia of bright colors that seems to be prevalent in this community (and I honestly prefer those to the overly-desaturated levels I always see).
I agree. Nothing's wrong with the palette. It looks fine, imho.
Different than what most others are doing, yes, but that doesn't make it bad, just different.

I was going to attribute this to Hacks 101 as well (just like all the skewed geometry that people splatter all over their levels), but Hacks 101 actually had bright colors. I have no idea how this trend came to be, but there are a lot of people who just desaturate the shit out of everything. It doesn't look -bad-, it just really makes the level lack any sort of life.
The first person I ever saw use ultra-desaturated palettes with vanilla graphics was Lynnes. He did it quite beautifully, I might add, and got a substantial amount of praise for it back then.
I don't think there's anything wrong with desaturation.

It's when it's everywhere, used without thought

For this level the outside palette is great. The inside really pales though.
The first Castlevania used palette combinations wonderfully. People for some reason don't dare to make details pop out like others might do. But there are cases where you just shouldn't go overboard with it.

Don't get me wrong, bright colors are great (so is desaturation by the way) but there's a line between too little and too much, I think this level kind of crosses that line. Maybe that's just me being nit-picky, but the color scheme seems a bit out of whack to me. But you people don't have to listen to me, its just my opinion

Only for the extremely bright colors I am personally not a fan of. They just simply made the majority of the bright colors I have seen. Just my personal observation, I am pretty certain other users have differing opinions.

It started when Lynnes won that VLDC with Forever Factory. I don't know if that was the catalyst or if it was mere coincidence, but I noticed it a lot more once he won. Personally, I think it's solely due to Lynnes's win back then, and some people started thinking that if they emulated Lynnes, their levels would be "better".

As for these new criticisms: We would've loved to have heard about this before the deadline, guys. :c
