Favorite Genre of Movie?

What is your favorite genre of a movie?

For me, it's comedy, because it brightens my mood, and laughing is one of the most enjoyable things. It makes me feel very good inside. :)
Comedy and horror. Those are the best.

Comedy, action. Possibly the two most common types.
I'm part of the Testers for Hire thread, so if you'd like something play tested, no matter what it is, PM me, and I'll give you honest feedback. Anything else is in my profile.

I like action, and horror. And a little bit of comedy as well.
I like almost anything with some violence in it. You know what I mean?
YEAH! VIOLENCE IN MOVIES/GAMES ROCK!
Does anime count as a Genre?XP
I guess romance, fantasy, drama, horror(Only in anime, and not solely gore or screams)

I don't like just plain gore horror movies. Like Hostel, just plain suffering. Meh, that's not scary,(well yeah, to some) just plain pain and blood. Scary movies like The Ring are better.

Me? I agree with most of you, Horror, action, comedy, and fantasy is really rare for me, but the best of all. (Anime too, if it counts.)

As for others:
Drama: Too dramatic, at points, so I don't get into soaps. If I was stuck in the middle of a drama, I'd be the cool guy.

Romance: Good, not all, but o.k.(Did not see much of these)

Musical: I must agree, High School Musical, had some good songs at the time. What does it matter if its Disney?( Althought I'm not at all musical man. I do like music. Depends on what musical. Elementary school ones are only good if your in them, but the watchers smile at you they think," This is terrible.)

Comedy and horror. Not retarded "grudge" horror where random things pop up and scream, attempting a very cheap scare. I mean "1408" horror where you actually get scared, instead of jumping cause some random thing screamed.

Well, anime isn't exactly a genre. I do love it though. Anime series hava some of the best stories ever made.

As for movies, I can watch just about anything. No special preference as long as the movie itself is great. Perhaps I do lean more towards the Fantasy genre, but mostly for longer films and series.

Some movies I liked:
Audition (Horror, Drama), Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind (Drama, Romance), Final Fantasy: Advent Children (Animation, Sci-Fi), Hot Fuzz (Action, Comedy), Kill Bill (Action, Drama), Se7en (Mystery), Sin City (Action, Film Noir)

Some series I liked:
Black Lagoon (Anime: Action, Drama), Chrno Crusade (Anime: Action, Drama), Death Note (Anime: Mystery, Thriller), Elfen Lied (Anime: Horror, Sci-Fi), Firefly (Fantasy, Cult), Fullmetal Alchemist (Anime: Fantasy, Drama), Hana Yori Dango (Drama), Hellsing (Anime: Horror, Drama), Lucky Star (Anime: Slice of Life, Comedy), Mai HiME (Anime: Action, Drama), Noein (Anime: Fantasy, Drama)

I noticed that drama showed up quite frequently as I was writing, but drama really just means there's a story. Conflict creates drama, so it's kind of a subgenre to a more describing genre that I also listed. Bear in mind that the lists are just some random extracts. I tried to exclude OLD stuff (a.k.a. classics) and included a bit of variation to keep it somewhat interesting to read. As for series, I mainly watch anime. Not a fan of LOST and the likes of it.

I like Comedy, Sci-Fi, and fantasy.
Sorry, about my bad english. Because I'm Indonesian.
I like action/sci-fi/fantasy. Comedy can be nice once in a while.
I don't like excessive blood, gore, or violence, but I'm not into watching Teletubbies roll down a hill or something either.
I like Comedy and Horror... I have trouble choosing which one I like better. For some reason, I've never thought action movies were fun to watch.

I love comedy!

Drama, Horror, Romance, and Comedy.

I recently saw Sex and the City the other day but it was a good Romance Comedy movie.
Comedy always has me laughing. There are just so many good comedies out there, especially older films from about a decade or so ago. Sometimes even longer ago. Anyone seen Blazing Saddles? XD

Then there's action. I like action movies for times when I'm not in the mood for comedy. Bullets flying, fist-fighting, it's all good when it comes to action to me.
i like comedy and romance
