What is the boss you had the most difficult time defeating?(Please only put bosses you actually have defeated.)

If I had to pick a boss which got me frustrated the most, I'd have to say the Great Commander from Starfox (SNES). I mean, look at this. Half of that video is that guy fighting the boss.

He has 6 spots you can attack but they're incredibly tiny, and to top it off, they also open and close randomly. But that's not all! Once he has 50% HP, he starts shooting nova bombs at you which are hard to dodge, because you still have to shoot the boss if you ever want the fight to end.

Took me a shitload of time to beat him at first on my SNES.
My blog. I could post stuff now and then

My Assembly for the SNES tutorial (it's actually finished now!)
Probably this guy. Took me hours upon hours and lots of sleepless nights to beat him.

Wow, I thought that I was the only one who thought that he was hard.

I think that the hardest boss that I have fought is the death egg robot from sonic the hedgehog 2. This boss haunted my childhood. It's attacks can be very hard to avoid and hitting it is very hard. And by hitting it being hard, I mean that THE HIT DETECTION IS BULLSH#% half the time I try to hit the thing, I end up falling through it and dieing. And the worst part of this boss is that you don't get any rings, you have,to kill it (and another boss before this one) without ever getting hit once.
Yes, I know, I don't have an avatar, I can't find any damn pictures that are small enough >:(

That ghost boss in Wario Land. Fought it last night, never doing that level again.
Let's milk Sunny Milk. Then she'll have enough money to fund Sunny Milk Real Estate.

ff5 byblos white mage only.

he has like 3600 health and mages only do like 8 damage. he has an attack called wind slash which always does 1/4 maximum health damage and magic hammer cuts mp in half. after a certain health point he'll start using drain to heal himself. you basically have to stall him out for 3 hours. after preparing with a bunch of elixirs, i lost after 3 hours. but beat him on the second attempt

the final bowser fight from paper mario n64. i had to try countless times to beat him with his strong fire attack and his star rod.
My Inspiring Quotes on Personal Growth and Change:

"Resolved financial/personal problems equal greater growth!"

"The only constant thing in life is change; nothing is set in stone. The old is replaced with the new. Forgive yourself for past mistakes. When many different problems in your life are resolved (personal, financial, etc.), newfound strength and confidence is gained in the process. Usually, failures, lack of assertiveness, disappointments, incompetence, low self-esteem and lack of self-respect, financial struggles, and setbacks can cause us to change and take action to solve any problem, leading to increased strength and confidence. This you learn from experience.

I have been experiencing this aforementioned newfound strength and confidence myself for the past FOUR to EIGHT years or so, getting stronger with each passing year, learning with each mistake I make and becoming more joyful in the process. Because of this newfound confidence I've acquired over the years, finding my passion is of utmost importance in 2022! You can develop this strength and confidence in yourself as well!"

To whoever's reading this, you are amazing and you are capable of doing equally amazing things. Gather confidence and be yourself! Say goodbye to the old you and welcome the new you! It wants to arise every moment, but you don't let it. Learn from your mistakes and never make that mistake again! Find your passion and live it!"

Finding my passion in life, but I may still be active on SMWCentral from time to time. Still enjoy playing many hacks, but I'm widening my perspective on life and opening myself to the new.
Probably something from a Mega Man game. The final bosses of many of the Mega Man X games (particularly X1, X3, and X5) were always nasty, and Leganchor in Mega Man ZX was surprisingly difficult for being almost stationary. Rangda Bangda mk2 in MMX5 was also nearly impossible without the Gaea Armor because of those wall spikes, and both the final boss and
Omega
in MMZX were a huge pain (especially if you don't use Model HX's tornado attack on the former). And of course, the final boss of Mega Man 7 is a notorious showstopper. It's hard to pick which one of all those I had the most trouble with, though. On the RPG side, Earthwake from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team comes to mind, and almost entirely because of one particular attack. Even harder and more obnoxious than Earthwake is
Giant Bowser
, but I can't pick him because I never actually beat him legitimately.

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.
This I guess.

Probably the only reason I had trouble was because I wasn't aware his FINAL FORM was weak to Rolling Shield, so I went X Buster only like an idiot.

I remember this being pretty hard too, especially in comparison to the rest of the game.
shirt status: not on
Bowser X from Bowser's Inside Story. Eventually, I found a strategy involving my badge meter, and I also figured out the patterns of his attacks (although I can never avoid his shy guy squad attack, so I always let Luigi get hit by it since Luigi can survive it while Mario cannot)

Executioner Smough and Dragon Slayer Ornstein in dark soul

You fight both of them at the same time. One is a fast guy with a lightning spear and the other is a huge guy with a hammer. You may think the fight would become mush easier once you kill one of them, but the other one will absorb his power, gain more HP and get healed to max HP. Those super form can easily (and usually will) kill you in one hit and if you die, you have to restart the whole fight over. Strangely, they are much harder than any other boss in the game, including the final boss.
Most likely the giant fights from Mario & Luigi Dream Team. These were frustrating, namely the house robot and the Zeekeeper. They were remarkably harder than the normal fights and the touchscreen controls were kinda unforgiving. Also no easy mode.

Death from Castlevania

Combine with the hardest stage in the entire game with a hallway right before the boss where every enemy takes a quarter of your health as does Death himself. Plus he shoots a lot of projectiles which all move towards you. I swear it took me over two weeks of practice to get to Death with all my lives and minimal damage.I guess one good thing is the stage music is really catchy.
Yiazmat from Final Fantasy 12

Not only does this guy have 50,000,000 (yes, that's FIFTY MILLION!) HP, he has a lot of attacks that can cause instant death and there are a number of traps around him. He also unleashes a very powerful attack called Cyclone which does about 8,000+ damage to everyone. He uses it after every 10% of health he has lost. Plus, when he is reduced to 50% HP, he will double his level and then the maximum damage you can do drops from 9,999 to 6,999. He also uses Rake which can hit a character as much as 12 times.
The only good thing is that you can run to a save crystal any time.

Took me 6 days to beat this boss!
