Progress Update!
Finally I am about done revising my models! Next thing is items in levels. Demo could possibly be in a couple of weeks. I'm not sure if i'll put the hub in, because i usually have random problems.

I made a site for Shining Stars with a relatively updated progress chart. Check it out here.

So i found the wrong snow texture in toads tool. In toads tool, texture 447 appears to be the one used in snow/blizzard, but it is acually what the weird snow guys throw. Also it is what comes up when Mario walks on snow. Hopefully i can find the blizzard texture so i can make the rain effect.

Just for randomness, here are a couple of screenshots for Stormy Skyway. I changed my model like 4 times before i got it to where i wanted it! Also check out the music for levels!

Keep up the great work! But when I look at those screenshots the first thing I think of is monochrome mario 64 which has already been createdc by Vinnyboiler... Just my opinion, not sure of what others think.
you could use my GSCI, if it's supposed to be monochrome in one level.

I just overdid the fog on the level. Looks way better with moderate fog than intense.

Another small update! Stormy Skyway is completely done! I will probably finish Piranha Skygarden and Icefire Caverns for a demo pretty soon. Probably within the next 2 weeks. Happy new years!:D

Progress Update!
Demo is done! I'll post it in the next couple of days! It has 14 new stars (need vanish cap and metal cap, levels not done yet) and 2 old stars, so a total of 16!

Progress Update!
I revamped Bowser's Tower of Terror. Here's a video preview of the level.
Mt. Lavalava is almost done! Stars 1 and 6 prove to be a challenge, as they require really good platforming :D

Lol its not that hard unless you dont know how to long jump. Its not really a fight but more like a challenge where you climb the boxes to reach the star. :D Also the custom objects freeze my levels

It's impossible to long jump on slopes like that one in your level, also maybe replace those box and purple switches with a block moving up and down(custom object)

It's impossible to long jump on slopes like that one in your level, also maybe replace those box and purple switches with a block moving up and down(custom object)

@pikachu101 Don't worry, its easier when you play it. Although I will probably add custom objects there. Its not really a slope there because they are above the lava the same distance. I'll make a video of it soon.


Here is another preview of Shining Stars! It is Sizzling Slide Secret, changed alot from the first preview of it shown in Preview 4 .
It has 3 stars, bringing the total # of stars in the game to 26. As a challenge, the Gray coins in this level are moderately difficult. Next Preview is Mt. Lavalava.

I got a white screen on Icefire Caverns when I tried to enter it. Anyone know how to fix it? (I didn't change the Mario Start warp.)

Some white screens could only occur after modifying ASM codes that reside in the checksum area, did you apply any asm code or patch? I just noticed this now.

No i haven't used ASM but somehow I fixed it by reimporting the level. Thanks though :D

Hi everyone! It's been a month since the last update. Currently I have been working on course 9 Magma Mountains and course 10 The Abyss. The modeling is finished for magma mountains, and there are a couple of screenshots below. Once i use TT64 on these levels I will be almost 50% finished with Shining Stars!

Magma Mountains starts with a lava shell ride through the underground to the land above, which has changed over time from the Wintry Wasteland it used to be to a fiery lava filled place.

As always, check the first post for the updated progress chart!:)

I've been considering my next hack, which will be a mini hack, and Shining Stars 2 or SM64SS Extreme in the future, but that is a while away. My mini hack will be called "The Crystal Stars 64". Can you guess what levels from a game i'm using? :D

Stages from K64 the crystal shards will not fit into any game with 3D perspectives. Nice maps, You have a lot of sequences that need improving, like the one used in stormy skyway, You should also correct those texture mapping in stormy sky way, and I have uploaded a pack of textures that could be of help to you, in the SM64-Textures sections on this site there is a texture pack there uploaded by me called "N64 Texture mix" after you have downloaded and extracted the Zip file there is a folder inside there named "volcanic tiles" or such, it could be of use in Mt. LavaLava. I hope you appreciate this helpful critism. Good luck on your project.#ab{:)}
