(Canceled) Nontoxic Utilities

Here's a level that I'm currently making for this project.

At first glance, you might think that this level is just a remake of the level "Toxic Utilities" from "An SMWC Production". It's actually a completely custom level using "An SMWC Production" graphics that's going to take advantage of features and NPC that aren't in Super Mario World or any official Mario game such as the Billy Gun and Parakoopas that chase you.

This level is far from complete. I still have to add the "Layer 1" background graphics and more sections. Only one section is done right now. I want to know what you guys think about this level so far.

Enjoy!

Stuffing a bunch of generators in a small place isn't a good idea. Try to be more controlled with your level deaing instead of letting generators do everything.
~~~Septentrion Signature Space~~~
The graphics and music are nice, but the design itself is a bit of a different story.
Septentrion Pleiades's comment pretty much sums up my feelings towards the level so far. It doesn't feel like much skill is involved, but instead you have to pray that you manage to run through the barrage of enemies alive. Some creative and controlled enemy/generator placement (like Septentrion Pleiades said) will improve your level.
Oh, and one small thing.
Sometimes the Banzai Bill's shoot to the right or turn around after hitting a Koopa. Look in your NPC file to make sure
Code
npcblock=0
and/or check that the Banzai Bill's shoot only left.
The level that you can download in this thread is slightly outdated. I'm still making the level. I haven't been working on it lately because of other things on my mind such as academics and playing video games, but now I guess I'm going to have to pick up the pace now that SMWCX has started up again.
I think I've toned down the difficulty of those generators already. I think one of my reasons for going wild with generators like that is because I'm one of those people who tend to think they're invincible while holding a powerful item such as a Billy Gun, Hammer Bro., Piranha Plant, etc., when they're clearly not.
Later, I will replace the pictures that were in the first post with updated ones. I may even change the name of the level. But I may take a while, so be patient.
TheOtherGuy25, that's weird. Banzai Bills are programmed by default to plow through everything, including enemies and blocks, and not turn around, right? Hmm, I'll have to take a look at that. What version of Super Mario Bros. X are you using? If it's not 1.3.0.0 or 1.3.0.1, then your issue might be just your version.
Well, I found out what's going on, it's not your fault at all. I think it's a bug with SMBX. Watch the video linked below.
Hilarity Ensues
So as far as I can tell, bringing one of those piranha plant pipes (which I did use to review this level the first time) causes this glitch. It looks like the first Banzai Bill you bring/see/load on screen is the one that gets affected. Whenever the piranha plant pipe thing that you carry changes direction, the Banzai Bill follows. This can be used to hilarious effect (1-up farming as demonstrated in the video). So yeah, I would try to see if you can pull this same glitch off in SMBX 1.3.0.0 (I'm currently using 1.3.0.1).
If it's the case for both versions, I'd suggest getting rid of the piranha plant, so players can't exploit the bug.
Your video is private. Can you make it public, please?
Sorry about that, done.
I'd like to cancel this level. I don't want it to be a part of this collab. I really feel that Pikmin Forest is a lot more important. I want to focus all of my efforts on that level. I also feel that, after completing Pikmin Forest, if I even do in time, I won't have enough time to complete this level before 49 levels are submitted.
This level has been sitting incomplete for months. I just can't think of good level design. I may still complete it someday, maybe for an episode of my own or something. But I'm canceling this level in favor of Pikmin Forest.
