Pandemonium Fortress 2

Standard

Well, i really wanted to hold out on this. Wait for the original to get noticed a bit more. But i'm just too excited. Pandemonium Fortress 2 is is production. Yes indeed. This hack features the "Custom Music Patch 2" patch and a whole lot of palette work so far.

This video includes screenshots and gameplay.

Custom Blocks are a maybe.
No ExGFX, Custom Sprites, or ASM. Afterall, not having these things is what made the first one so special.

I hope you guys are as excited as I am...

EDIT: LATEST BETA

I made a standalone game once, look for Seabug Stampede on Google Play.
The Metal Information Center

Oh wow, a sequel. Hopefully this'll be as good or even better than the first. Anyway, I'll help ya get your first one noticed more. Azura isn't the only one doing videos on it. I'm doing yours after I finish Kaizo, if it's fine with you. :)

Thanks to Wraith for the layout.
Will be glad to test hacks. PM me hack information and download links.

I really enjoyed playing Pandemonium fortress 1 and if you put so much effort into that I'm sure this will be just as good. I'm willing to beta test if you ever need any :)
Check out my profile for awesomeness!
I am absolutely okay with you making a video review of the first Pandemonium Fortress. Go for it.

I might as well give you all a link to another video of PF2.

@Kagami: For beta testing I'll just put links to betas in this thread like I did with the last one. Open BETAs for the win.

As you showed me a video before, can't wait :P.

I'll also continue to beta test if I still can :].
I think your having a slight misconception. The reason we ask for screenshot's is because sometimes we can't view youtube videos(Such as when using a web browser on a PSP) or were just not in the mood for the time and trouble just to see the video.
Posting screenshot's is win-win and I suggest you do it or else people will get mad.
I know your not an idiot. So don't give people the wrong impression..

Getting more on topic about the hack:
You won't have ExGFX, Custom Sprites, or ASM.But will you have custom music?
Your layout has been removed.

Read the first post. :p

Well if screenshots are what you guys want then screenshots are what you're going to get.

First Overworld, took some work to get Palette 3 to co-operate.

This is the first level on one path, It's called Sunset Pathway and it's pretty easy.

Don't relax though, you're gonna have to stay on your toes.

This is the second level on that path, Midnight Mountain. It's also a slippery level.

Lookout Mario! He's right behind you!

There are 2 other levels made so far. Pipeline and Shift Castle. I don't have screenshots of them at the moments.

I should have a beta out by tonight for anyone who's interested.

I´ve finish da whole first game. I love the last stage, so epic. But you can´t say that about the last boss battle, not so epic.
Yeah, I'll see if I can make the final boss battle of this game a bit more epic.

Anyway i've got something you all might like. The first BETA. Yup. I'm releasing this now because i'll be going on a trip Friday and won't be back for a week. This'll keep you guys happy til then I hope.

The BETA is 5 levels, a starting point, and a switch palace. I hope you guys enjoy it and put any comment you have in this thread.

That castle level = instant win.

That Boo battle is intense! It's really cool with the *will not spoil it haha find out for yourself* :P.

What music plays there? I forgot what it was >_> I recognize it though.

And yah, the others levels are great too :P

"Big Red Button" lol
Oh, i'm really proud of how the castle turned out, I hope it's not too hard though.

The Boo Boss fight music is "Sonic 3 - Act 2 Boss"

As for "Big Red Button", I couldn't resist, sorry.

Nah, I'm not criticizing it, I like the name Big Red Button xD.
*Stretches* ah, what a nice vacation...

Anyway I never come back empty handed so here I have for you guys is... the second BETA for you guys. HERE it is for you all with about 4-5 more levels than the last one. I hope you all enjoy it. I'll put up some screenshots tomorrow probably.

PF1's ending made it obvious there was going to be a sequel, but I didn't know it was going to be so soon. The link to the beta isn't working, though...

Mario's Nightmare Thread
Hmmm, I can't seem to access Snapdrive at the moment, must be changing servers or something. Sorry, I guess you guys might have to wait a bit to play the newest BETA.

Meanwhile i made a quick video of one of the levels in that BETA and hopefully you guys will enjoy it.

Mario's Nightmare Thread
HERE. One PF2 BETA online via rapidshare. Hopefully this'll work.

Excellent. I had a few gripes, though...
-In Uphill Struggle, horizontal scrolling was enabled in the bonus room, and the pipe kills you when you come out at the end.
-The second overworld has green water for ground. It looks... really weird.
-The second overworld's music sucks. Period.
Putrid Puddle was a little too bland.
-The Great Boo fight was hard. Really hard. Very fun and unique, but it calls for serious savestate abuse.
-You needed to be big to get past the second flying hammer bro in Pipeline. I tried to do it as small Mario, but you can't kill it without hitting one of his hammers or falling into the pit.
-What's the music you used in Pipeline, it's REALLY familiar, but I can't put my finger on it...

Mario's Nightmare Thread
I'll tackle each gripe one at a time.

-There's a bonus room in Uphill Struggle? I'll look into this...
-The green water was a test to see if people would consider it as blowing grass.
-Hmmm, okay, i have a better tune for that world anyway.
-I might spice up Putrid Puddle but I'm not sure how...
Which great boo fight? The one in the water? I suppose I could change the position of the spikes a bit.
-No you don't have to be big. Just throw a stunned goomba at him and ride the platform.
-The music for pipeline is the title screen music for Yoshi's Island.
