Currently Untitled Vanilla Hack - 3 Level demo for ya

I've started a new hack, my other hack TEMP is cancelled for now.
Not sure if I'll restart it but now to this hack, I'm not sure
for now how many worlds this hack will have. Currently I've only
finished one and a half level.

I can see several interesting design ideas here however most of the screenshots show that the level does not scroll up when Mario is not on high ground and while that isn't a bad thing, it can get a bit annoying when most of the level is on higher ground.
Looks like an entertaining game, although I wouldn't use munchers very often. They usually work best for Kaizo games...

This is looking swell so far. The level design is looking soild, there is only one graphical error that I've spotted (and that was already pointed out by theraze), it certainly has a vanilla feel to it... overall, it's pretty nice.

Only minor thing is that it would be nice for the hack to have custom palettes, but if you want to really make it feel vanilla, I guess you could just have the default in-game palettes.

Thank's for your comments, I'm glad that you like it.
There is a cutoff because I haven't done more of it yet and this
hack will use custom palettes (btw the second level has a custom palette),
but the first levels should have a real vanilla feel.

I like your hack so far, I don't have much to say about it.
Nice use of the original SMW graphics. I'm liking the design.

The Buzzy Beetle's palette doesn't look right somehow. I remeber it was red and blue..(?) Or did you re-painted it?
He's either using sprite palette 0 or 2. The correct palette to use would be 4, but it's his own choice if he wants to keep like that so idc. It's not even like it looks bad anyways.
The level looks interesting enough. I would probably add a ? block or two to the first area of the level though, just to liven it up.

Also yeah the Buzzy palette, while not the original, is still pretty good.

(sorry I wasn't able to comment much on this update. I'd think it would be best if you posted more screenshots and such).

School started again, horray so much less updates, but
I try to release a 3 level demo as soon as I can.

You should avoid having a Spike Top near a slope. It'll look weird when it climbs up it.

Also your last two screens are the exact same. I assume this was unintentional.
Most of the level design looks... OK I guess. Nothing that makes you jump and say "Wow this looks awesome" but not bad either.

I honestly don't really like this palette either.

From the looks of it, you just made the green parts of the palette slightly darker. That and the "dots" in the dirt look kinda... I don't know, the contrast is to too strong I guess.

It has been a very long time since I last time posted something new
about my hack. And finally after a long break of hacking, I can present
you a 3 level demo of my hack. Notice that this hack is going to be
hard, but it's all good possebly without savestates. Also this
overworld is just a placeholder, but if you like I would keep it.
