Yep, you can say that now. Hi there, definition #2. Can't even say "oh lol those stupid Americans" either because look who else jumped on board. Now we no longer have a word that means the opposite of figuratively. Awesome.
Now we just have to wait for someone to post that one xkcd comic.
Then we just have to wait for someone to post that one other xkcd comic.

Now what exactly has changed from a few days ago? Dictionaries don't make things acceptable, they document what is acceptable. If the word "literally" is misused from its original meaning (which by the way happened a whole lot in the past) to the point where a new word is needed, we'll come up with one.
WoI answer: I'm literally going to stop speaking english right now weil diese Diskussion sowieso irgendwann damit endet, dass jeder Beiträge in allen möglichen Sprachen schreibt.
You guys are going about this all wrong. You're going on the defensive when we need to be on the offensive. That's right, we need to appropriate the word "figuratively" to mean "in actuality". That'll show em'.

Words.

I 100% figuratively plan on it. Not being literal over here.
Evolution of language is literally making it harder for me to flag out idiots.

Euhhh... Pourquoi ont ils fait ça? C'est con en tabarnak...
Mais bon, ici aussi ils font des choses comme ça, sauf que c'est le gouvernement qui force un nouvel ortographe à certains mots... Pourquoi?
So if literally can also mean "figuratively", does that mean literally is literally the opposite of literally?
