Daizo Dee Von's Hallway of Treasure - P-switch, Other Hacks, and Lots of Graphics --> Next Graphics I'm Making

Hello everyone, DDV here, and I've got a lot of stuff to show off this C3. So yes, you finally get to see my hallway full of Tresures! Not every door is opened though, so you're going to have to stick around if you want to see everything!

Let's start with the hacks!

P-switch...

Discription:
P-switch is a Multi-stage level where you have to investigate The Legendary P-switch Void for no reason other then to get some extra cash. The hack contains 5 levels, with 3 more other levels that just gives you powerups and some NPC's. This is probably the hack I am most proud of, because of all the work put into it. After all, quite a few people liked playing this.

Sup, MARIO?!

Discription:
Judging by the screenshots, you know this hack is going to be very weird. Let's just say this is Error Mario World done RIGHT! When I want to make something really odd and very weird, I come up with pretty strange ideas. This poped in my head, and so I created a level that is, quite literally, in a 90 degree angle, along with enemies that have weird reversed eyes... I don't get it either, lol.

Lame on the Edge...

Discription:
Tired of cement block spam? Ever want to get rid of the leader behind all this? Well take out the Cement Block King, Ceboki and you'll finally destroy those pesky Cement blocks that spam people's levels.

Video (Thanks DTE225, for doing this for me! Also, a bit outdated)

Invisible Mario

Discription:
I couldn't help it. The Skype group that hosts the radio convinced me to do this. I'll be starting an LP so you can see hear my pain while playing this. XD

HAIRY 2.0

Discription:
Remember this entry from the SMW 9th Special World Level Contest? Well I decided to add some more midway points, and lower the difficulty a bit.

Next, the C3 Graphics I made/ripped!

GIANT SMW Grassland Tileset

Quite of a lot of content here! P-switch was pretty cool, but I haven't got to try the others.

No kaizo hack release?
Not really lots of graphics but these are quite decent. I wonder where you got the Airman ones? Did you redrew or ripped them from an image? Because they look really good.

As for the hacks, the P-switch one looks bizarre, yet interesting, I'm going to try it out tomorrow and probably give feedback.
I've got to say that I'm really digging the Giant Grassland Graphics. I'm sure I can find a use for it in one of my hacks. I like both the 16 bit Megaman graphics as well. I can see them fitting in a Mario hack better now that they are 16 bit.

As for the hacks, I've been following P Switch for awhile and I must say that it looks strange and a good way of course as well as interesting. Looking forward to trying it out!

The giant grass tileset looks really good! I also am very interested in Sup Mario, the game gimmick is really something that caught my attention when you told me over Skype.

Your graphics are absolutely freaking amazing, YOU SIR ARE THE BOSS!!
P-Switch is one of the most original hacks I've seen. I loved how you were able to do so much with some altered graphics, palette reiterations, and clever level design. Your graphical entries are all solid as well. Great job overall!

[?] Miscellaneous Helpful Hints
If I moderated your hack, there was apparently a 90 percent chance it was rejected.
I remember seing the trailer for P-Switch in the SMW Central channel, I thought it was an interesting concept, but at the same time it can be a bit confusing for the players if all the enemies look the same. The first screenshot of Sup Mario drew my attention, since I noticed it was a flipped version of a regular level, but seeing the rest of the screenshots I can see it's probably a Kaizo hack.

I don't have much to say about the rest, but I like the giant SMW tileset, you did a good work reproducing the original FG without getting it too pixeled.
Thanks for the comments! Well, two more things opened up to download.

Just wait until there is even MORE. Also, there will be a Kaizo thing released, but that will come later today.

I did the Mega Man graphics myself along with the original graphics. Extra tiles are added so it doesn't feel like its JUST the original graphics with more colours.

P-switch isn't perfect, and everyone has their own opinions. If you really want to test your skills, you can read the readme for some "Optional Objectives".

Thanks for the comment about that Giant Grassland tileset. Like I said before, it isn't the best thing I have ever made, but its still pretty good. P-switch is fairly difficult, but me and a few friends over at skype had a lot of fun just... messing around with it. XP

Hairy has a bit of an unexpected twist that you might be shocked about.

I'm starting to see Sup Mario to be a bit underrated, but what did I expect while making it, right?

Naw, I'm no boss, I'm just a regular dude who likes to make graphics.

Possibly one of the most positive thing I've ever heard on one of my projects.

The enemies aren't too hard to not notice, since they have slightly different graphics. Sup Mario isn't a Kaizo Hack, but it is still pretty difficult. If you get the timing down, though, it's a walk in the park (even save stateless).

So far the Giant Grassland is the more better things. I'm surprised that a lot of people overlook the Mega Man 2 graphics, but I'm still glad these graphics turned out better then expected.

Speaking of graphics, I added one more. Also, the skype group who lead the radio convinced me to make a hack so Mario isn't shown at all, so enjoy that as well. I'll make an LP later, so expect me to suffer a lot.

The P-switch hack caught my eyes right there! I remember you posting a lot of video previews about it, and I quite like the concept. Maybe I'm going to play it as well.

The "Sup, Mario?!" hack also looks interesting, it's way better than that Error Mario World thing, which got badly criticized and then escalated into a flame war. Also, I've seen that giant SMW tileset somewhere before... oh yeah.

I'd have never thought you would make the SMB3 underground tileset giant as well! o: It indeed looks cool, though for some reason the "A" and "I" on Mario have different palettes when inserting the file... maybe it's just the palette slot. All of your other graphics look interesting as well.

Good job there! #ab{;)}

A lot of people like P-switch so far. I just hope it gets accepted into SMW Central so everyone can play it!

"Sup, Mario?!" is one of the more overlooked hacks in this thread, but I don't blame them. Also, Error Mario World is probably one of the worst hacks, no... THINGS I have ever made.

The A and I is different colours because the hack I insert my custom graphics in has a different Status Bar. The Giant Set is the most favorite from a lot of people, which actually impresses me.

You've seen the title. A Kaizo Level has been released, along with a new Tileset. This is probably the last update, but maybe I'll sneak another thing in before C3 ends.... just maybe.

I might have to give Sup and P-Switch tries. Out of the hacks I checked out, those are two of the ones that look most appealing to me.
I don't even remember anything about Error Mario World but the name kinda rings a bell.

I didn't get anything new. However, I can show you a preview of my next graphics rip... or should I say, a larger version of something I already MADE?

It isn't much, but hey, at least this is another update. What do you guys think of this?

It's just a larger version of my 16-bit version of my Air Man Stage Tileset.

Those giant looking tilesets look freaking amazing, and an underground version too!

And the I will give a try the P-Switch demo hack!
Well, since I can still post here, I'm going to make a playthrough for most of my hacks. I'll start with one of the less noticed hacks here, "SUP, MARIO?!" 99.9% Playthrough.

Collect the 4 Big P-coins in the credit rooms, and you'll pass through the yellow floor on the right side.

An update is coming, as I did find some silly mistakes that I've overlooked. If it does get rejected, its because of these silly mistakes. #ab{:P}
