Justin Bieber... What's the big deal?

Ok, I have to step up about this. I HATE how you can only either absolutely LOVE HIM like he's the only thing worth living for, or HATE HIM like he's the end of all life as we know it. You're not allowed to just not care. If his song plays on the radio, why does everybody have to absolutely hate it, or turn into some love crazy sico path? I react by just listening, and not giving a darn... and when the song changes, it does... so? It's just another song... Idk, it gets on my nerve when people ask, "Do you like Justin Bieber?"

The big deal is that people need people to randomly hate for no apparent reason. That's it. There's no big secret to it.

Most people don't care about him. Don't think anyone here should either.

IKR. I am one of those middle ground people who is not a Belieber but not a hardcore hater either, and if the internet doesn't like it, boo hoo!
I think some of the hate may be just bandwagon. They don't like his music because they feel like it's the wrong thing to do and they'd be uncool if they did. Also, hiding behind a screen and keyboard, they are more likely to say death wishes on him than in real life.
What I really hate is "the X people who disliked this are Bieber fans" on any music video on YouTube that isn't JB, which implies a fandom rivalry between Justin Bieber versus every other music artist ever.
Baby is the only song by him so far that I really can't stand, and That Power may be turning into this as well. That Power is one of those songs where I have to change the station if it comes on.

People don't really hate him, But others pass on their HATE for him to others.
To make an educated guess, most people don't truly "hate" him aside a few problem-ridden individuals (who may or may not have started the whole thing). In reality, all the "hate" there is coming from trolls who want to jump on the bandwagon and be "cool" or whatever crap they think it makes them. As for the hardcore fans, they're mostly a (mostly nonexistant) stereotype invented by the trolls.

Bieber's not the only one - take Rebecca Black, for example, whose video was flamed to oblivion and back by idiots when she was only twelve years old for her "Friday" song (so I hear).

You can't only either absolutely love him like he's the only thing worth living for or hate him like he's the end of all life as we know it. It's actually easy to take a middle ground on it once you get over what all the idiots (on both sides) think. I actually like some of his work myself (Beauty and a Beat, for example), and listen to it on occasions without stalking him or making death threats. He's just one of many decent artists out there who happened to get lucky in the way of fame/fortune.
I do not really like Justin Bieber but I am not a hardcore hater of him. I have no idea where all this "hate" is coming from (my guess would be trolls who spread the "hate" onto other people). I generally find the song Baby annoying which is the reason I do not really like him but he is by no means a bad person.
If you get annoyed because people turn off the radio when his songs play, know it's just some kind of joke. Boys like to play about his sexual orientation, girlish voice and so on. On the other hand, girls like him a lot at the point of going crazy when his songs are played. It's just part of the girly nature. And that's about it, really.

You can't stand neutral about songs; you either like or dislike them. But about singers, or about people in general, you can either like, dislike or just not care about them. So if somebody asks you if you like his songs, then the best answer would be your actual oppinion; if they ask you about the singer himself, you can simply tell them you just don't care about him. There's no argument to go against that.

So why the empty numb?
I don't know either, I think she's pretty hot.
Yeah, I think Koopster pointed out the right thing. it's not Him That annoys me, is's his songs. Especially, if a female classmate of mine - or somwtimes two, actually - sings/yells/screams/whatever his songs with her awful horrific piercing voice about EVERY DAY. Same w/ 1D. I'm pretty sure you'll start hating them pretty soon.
I think some of us hate that guy because of the troubles he got himself into, and Baby is the main song that we aim to. I have some friends who are his fans and even join "his" pages on Facebook, but I don't mind that. Sometime ago, a friend of mine heard a version of that song and shouted out that she hates him.

Though it's up to people to see if they like, hate or just don't care him at all. It's all a mere coincidence.

I don't think a middle ground exists for this guy to be honest. (At least I haven't seen it.) The only people who absolutely love him seem to be mainly all the teen girls and that's too the point where they're willing to threaten anybody who gets to sit by him or meet him. (True story.) Otherwise, it seems like he gets way more hate then love. I mean he apparently has enough hate to get himself boo'd by the crowd for winning something.

But yeah I doubt it's really that you can either love the guy or hate the guy. It's just kind of how it happens to look being that a large crowd of girls like him.
My Youtube Channel for Hacking and Gaming.
I hate him for a few reasons reasons.

Firstly, my sister went through a phase where she listened to his music all the time, and it made me hate his music (I already didn't like it).

Secondly, that picture of him meeting the prime minister of Canada while wearing overalls. If you're meeting the leader of a country, you dress nice. Hell, at least where common clothes, not something you'd wear in a farm community.

Lastly, he seems to have let his fame get to his head, and that kinda pisses me off.
To me, Justin Bieber is just the token teen pop idol formulated to appeal to the young teen girl demographic in the worst way imaginable (cue awkward celebrity crush phase) for maximum profit. I mean, he has a clean, youthful look that girls adore, his voice is light, and he sings a lot of poppy love songs. I don't like his music and I find it funny when people throw water bottles or crack jokes like Torchkas did, but I don't dislike him as a person. He probably gets paid to say outrageous things like when he compared himself to Kurt Cobain in a way, but hey. If I was going to get $250,000 for wearing underwear on my head in public, I'd do it. =P

There were things like Beliebers before and after Justin Bieber. *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys were wildly popular boy bands in the late 1990s and girls were pretty passionately obsessed. Hell, people went nuts about Eminem in the early 2000s (in a broader, more controversial way, but people absolutely crazy about him from what I can remember.) Nowadays, there are also "Directioners" who worship the boy band One Direction. It's nothing new to me. Then again, I'm lucky to not be of school-age when Bieber Fever hit, so maybe I don't know just how bad this pandemic really is. I do notice arguments about him on YouTube videos that are completely unrelated to him, but this is the internet, so eh. I've seen more of the hatedom than the fandom.

Just look above you...

Adding on to this, there were girls who were even worse about Elvis Presley and even John Lennon. Michael Jackson was also a big contender of crazy teenage girls.
This isn't anything new whatsoever and will never go away, either. They'll just shift to a different person.

The people that "hate" him either do it to jump on the bandwagon and look cool, or are doing it ironically for humorist purposes, although there's nothing really funny about it anymore.

Me personally? I can't stand his music at all, but to save time and not piss a lot of people off I'll end it right there.

People like to use him as a framework for defining modern pop. While most of today's music is, indeed, an earsore to me, there are plenty of artists still making music today that could be considered pop that "keep it real".

As I said, most hate for music comes from bandwagoning and trying to look cool or be funny in front of other people.

It's just music, guys.

Totally neutral towards his music, but the kid is a complete douchebag. Do a bit of research regarding some of the stuff he's done to his fans and other people in general, it's some pretty sad stuff.

Yes. I wish I didn't. Every stupid little 12 year old girl on the playground was slitting their wrists for Bieber.

All to get him to stop doing drugs.

Fuck the world.

You're aware that cut4bieber and baldforbieber were both trolls, right?

Personally, I agree with S.N.N. He is a douche, but that's not much of a reason to hate his music. He's extremely easy to hate.
